The price was the hook. The room was small but had everything you want for a short stay. Free breakfast was minimal but a good starter before lunch. The staff I spoke with were more than very friendly! Noise was minimal & the smells others spoke of barely existed! No worse than many other .places I've stayed over the years. The place could use some air fresheners in the halls though. Staff was very friendly and helpful. At check-in, we were greeted with freshly made cookies! We also liked the location as it was easy on and off the freeway. Thank you for the Continental breakfast before we checked out. A pleasant stay and we will be back in the future.
all reviews » That it was nice and quiet, no noise from the bar. We were close to the breakfast area and could not smell the coffee, which was a plus for the wife. Me I love to follow my nose in the morning. Great staff especially Amy. We will return. Staff was excellent to work with...my first room was a disaster, musty, smelly, with my allergies I could not have stayed in the room without getting sick. She moved me to another room and it was clean and fresh and fine!. The hotel was very value priced and it was located very centrally to the shopping, restaurants and other amenities that Fargo had to offer. The continental breakfast was a terrific option --- it was well stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was close and convenient for all the things I wanted to do in Fargo. I was there for the annual Roger Maris Golf Tournament and will stay there again next year. It was very clean, with lots of amenities. There were plenty of towels, fridge, microwave AND a coffee maker. Lots of channels on the TV, and an alarm clock...and at a great price. What's not to love?. The staff was awesome helped as much as possible when asked, breakfast was good and location very convenient for shopping and seeing downtown.Price was was good and made for an easy weekend in fargo. Breakfast was satisfactory and room was clean. Looked like the facility had a cosmetic renovation which was nice. Internet in lobby nice to check news from home and e-mails. Rooms were clean an neat, place was quiet at night. Close to two very nice restaurants, easy to access the interstate. Good value for the price I paid. Good location. Good price. The biscuits were nice...the thought of that type of gravy for breakfast turns my stomach. But each to their own I guess. Shopping in albertville was not worth the time, not that that is the hotels fault. The first room they gave me was a disaster. Hot, humid, smelly... Charged a daily fee for the safe even though the safe was not functioning (perhaps we were supposed to have it activated at the front desk - but since we didn't why the charge?) Our maid didn't do a very good job of cleaning the room - bed wasn't made, coffee supplies not replaced, coffee area not wiped down (although she did take the tip we left her). As I was in a ground floor room, it felt slightly damp, but once i ran the A/C fan for a while it seemed to dry it out. There were bugs in the bath room and the tv and decor was a bit out of date. Also sound proofing should be on their to do list. We could hear everything our neighbors were doing even them snoring or going to the bathroom..If you are looking for quite spot to relax not the place for you. The room was decent except the vanity cabinet could use a refinish (room 126), it looked worn and dated. We declined new towels the second day, so cleaning staff didn't enter the room. It would have been nice for them to empty the waste baskets, tho! This is a very minor issue. No complaints, it met my expectations. 1)bed too hard for my liking 2) evidence of bedbugs - I am a public health nurse so know how to check - they were very accommodating and changed us to another room where I could find no evidence of having bedbugs. Nothing, it is what it is, you get what you pay for. We were put in a room that was at one time a smoking room and each time we came back the odor was strong. Was a little old and the chairs were stained. But was clean. Somewhat dated. Our room was a non-smoking room yet smelled heavily like smoke. I did not like the service at the front desk they charged the wrong card and its now been 4 weeks and still have not got money back....needless to say I have other bills I could have payed with that. Water pressure is a bit low, takes longer to rinse shampoo and conditioner. Other fruit besides apples at breakfast would be appreciated. Ned trays for taking food back to room or a note in room advising that no trays are available. day staff on check out had cool attitude and not overly friendly. The price was a little higher in comparison to The Red River Lodge next door. The room had a smell to it, the pillows were horrible and the people above us kept us up all night. Some family argument ouyside are room. people in next room...... Thin walls. Parking lot tar was too soft and stuck to my shoes and tires. Not sure of final $ never got bill @checkout. Although the two rooms were booked together, we ended p on different floors. For a non smoking facility, there was a smell of smoke in the room when we checked in. Could have come from cleaning staff. Not sure, butdefinite smell was there. Our room smelled liked a wet pet! I woke up so congested. The carpet seemed sticky -- as if it had been sprayed to cover up the smell. We should have been asked if we wanted to stay in a room that an animal had been in. The loud pounding music from the bar, obnoxious drunk people outside the rooms, slamming doors, needs to be majorly updated, looks very dirty and outdated on the inside and keep the music from bar down, way to loud for people needing rest. The lay out of the room was our suitable for our needs with a young baby. We had a one queen bed room and it was on the small size.The pillows were thin so our sleep was okay. There was barely any counter space around the sink for amenities. Room 158 faucet in sink left was cold right was hot backwards. Old decor, smell. The whole place needs a entire remodeling. Rooms along with hallway very dark and dank. The fitness center was pretty much a joke. TV's were small and outdated, not flat screens. Should of had microwave didn't had tip envelope in room if you didn't leave anything you end up not getting soap or shampoo for the next day? What's up with that. The room and hotel was not as clean as what pictures showed.walls were thin and you could everything next door. Won't stay there again. the room smelled like smoke. They must put fragrances in room to cover smells ....I had to change rooms it was so bad.....but then they put me In a smoking room....not a lot better. The first room we were given smelled of smoke as soon as you walk in, The second room the air never shut off all night and bed was really uncomfortable. Pillows were like air nothing to them. Rooms look like they tried to renovate or update but old style TV. We were looking for something cheap so we got what we paid for. My room was quite close to the bar where the music shook the floor until about 1AM The room was cold and there was no heat It is old and scarey, in a "not-so-safe" area I would say this is a place for an over the road trucker just looking to crash for one night. stink, room size, cleanliness. Floors need to be shampooed very badly! My daughter had black feet after walking around on the carpet!. Deadbolt did not work. Bathroom light flickered.Noise from Bar below. The place had the most terrible odor/smell. It smelled likea public washroom in the stairs and hallways. I could not sleep peacefully because in the hallway was an air freshener mounted on the wall and it beeped every 20 seconds. Not enough pillows. Our room was beside the vending & ice machines. Pretty noisy. Some kind of fight happened in the hallway outside of our room at 2am. I thought the room could have been cleaner. The room had a strong odor, we switched rooms due to the odor. Due to the staff forgetting to make the changes in computer, someone was trying to enter our room after midnight. I called the front desk and they didn't seem to concerned about their mistake. At 9am we were awoken to cleaning staff trying to come in our room, even though check out time is 11am. The walls are terribly thin, you can hear everything. There was also a thick layer of dust on the TV, desk and the dresser.
