Great price, clean & comfortable. Close to shopping, great breakfast including make-your-own waffles. We had read both positive and negative reviews and were worried that a lower price might mean a lower standard of cleanliness or service so we were very happy to get the best of all worlds - good price, cleanliness and good service. The place is only 10 months old. Easy to find, easy to get in and out of. Everything was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was good. I've had better, I've had worse. All in all it was a nice place to stay for a couple of nights.
all reviews » The hotel was just a few months old-so everything was nice and new. The location was good because we didn't want to stay in Alexandria Bay. All highway drive to the Bay for sightseeing. Convenient to fast foods and some shopping. Everything!!! Everyone was just so nice. I am a stickler for clean. The room was clean, and was big enough for three adults. Anything that I needed, the staff was there to get it for me. I would give this hotel 4out of 5 stars. Friendly staff and eager to assist. Plus the rooms were big and comfortable. Continental Breakfast was on point and whoever made the coffee is a star. Comfortable room and bed. Clean and new. Breakfast with limited variety but still good enough. Shopping mall is right across the street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and did not smell of smoke. Very quiet and bed was comfortable. Only complaint I have is what we saw "behind" the lines. When we checked in we had just come through a bad storm. The man behind the counter was telling us that they had lost power and it just came on. We asked if they had a back up generator and he said "no, we wanted to keep costs down so we didn't have one installed". The next day, there was a man that had gotten stuck in the elevator. It seems they "cut corners" a little to much when building. There wasn't any small-2 seat tables in the breakfast room. Breakfast was just ok-waffles were the best part. Yogurts would be nice for protein. One more light over the sink in the room would have been nice-it seemed a bit dark. They could use luggage racks in the room-had to use the floor. I didn't want to ruin the granite in the room. They didn't have a lot for their breakfast. I liked everything and is the reason I will stay again in the future. Little difficult to get to nicer restaurants. Had to get back on the expressway and get off 3 exits down, etc, etc. Also did not like having to park way in the back and then carry our bags up to the front of the hotel because there was only 1 way in. No phone book or TV line up in room. Coffee packets and maker were in room but no carafe. Also walls were thin and conversations were audible. So insignificant but having a guide for the TV would have been nice....otherwise nothing at all to complain about. No easy chair in room. Very thin walls. Our neighbors were partying until 2 am and we could hear every word. Location is a little way out of town. Walls were thin, could hear the people next door blow their nose, and they were not being loud . No pool. I could hear the people walking in the room above us. Breakfast the worse we have ever seen. You can also hear your neighbors tv, sneeze,cough, door slam, and children. We did mention it to the staff, and were told the owner is going to have walls soundproofed.Ones that has been done a excellent hotel. Limited breakfast. The POWER went out and I couldn't shower, no AC (in morning) And so no breakfast. Which WAS NO ONE's fault. BUT they should have given me a credit for another Say at a Day's Inn.
