The Inn is placed just outside the centre of Estes Park which makes it easy to access and yet handy to go into the town if necessary. It has a great outlook onto the mountains and is of course convenient for access to The Rocky Mountain National Park. Happy hour was a nice surprise. Location and Price was right for our 2 nights stay. Stayed there the week before Memorial Day weekend so our price, I believe, was out of season. We spent our 2 days fly fishing and shopping on the third, in Estes Park.
all reviews » We enjoyed the comfortable beds, the friendly service, the pool hours, the hot tub, the lounge and food, the breakfast buffet, the parking, the available luggage carts, the in room coffee, and the location. The hostess and dining staff were incredibly friendly!! One staff member noticed that my friends daughter had a cough and offered her tea with honey! Very customer service oriented! Beautiful city. Rooms have and older dark look to them, Could use an update to the color decor. Overall, nice place to stay and good access to Rocky Mountain National Park (via two different entrances). We enjoyed the close distance to downtown. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not get a chance to use the pool but we are looking forward to it next time. Friendly staff. Older facility but well maintained. Chose hotel for the indoor pool and it was large, clean, and the right temperature. Would stay there again. The pillows were incredibly comfortable. Basically, the room was good overall. The location was convenient for walking to the shops and restaurants in town. We liked this inn alot and we would stay there again. Their handicap rooms are excellant. The staff was friendly. All in all a great place to stay. We've stayed there many times as a Holiday Inn. Were afraid facility might have deteriorated but definitely has not! The $45 price was wonderful!. The pool and Spa were nice. The room was big. Breakfast was not included but for $9.95 you could join the breakfast buffet wich was very good!. the young man that checked us in had very good customer service. i would like to see more people like him in a customer service position. They were accommodating on a handicap room. The price we paid for the first night there was very high (I think there was a special event in town that day). The second night's price was fair for the facilities and comfort of the hotel. I awoke one night with the sound of the clothes dryer running with something heavy since there was a continuous banging noise. My dryer has the same noise when I dry zippered clothes. I thought it odd at the time since my room was quite a distance from the laundry room. Pool was closed...but we got free breakfast vouchers. The room itself wasn't as put together as it should have been for the price. The TV was plugged into an unsafe outlet that was shorting out and the water pressure in the bathroom was low. There were only 2 tissues in the box. Only one packet of sugar and creamer for the coffee. The robe hook was all the way at the top of the bathroom door so I couldn't reach it. The maid knocked on our door in the morning to ask if we would need service that day, even though we were checking out. If we had still been sleeping, I would have been very upset. Nothing really. Rooms were very small but clean. Bathroom vanity a bit small. No continental breakfast. No problems. Pool was down. Older carpet & decor. Pool and pool area was cold. Scum, hair and bandaid floating in whirlpool. Rooms need refurbishing. The bed was toooooooo soft!!!!. Had a problem with my reservation at check-in. Initially my reservation was for a room with a balcony, but they said the reservation was for no balcony. I received a room from the desk manager for a higher rate than was on the original reservation. I pointed that out to her but she said the room will now be subject to the current rate, which is higher. But I got this issue resolved with another desk manager and ended up getting a lower rate than what was on the original reservation. The meals were a little costly. family hotel but doesn't have a family restaurant attached. Noisy, could hear kids running up and down the hall late at night. The free happy hour did not include free soda/pop for the kids. Had to pay over 2.00 for each non-alcoholic beverage. The room wasn't ready at check in time but we were given a coupon for a free breakfast so that was good. The toilet seat was not firmly attached to the bowl and there was no fan in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was just ok. Service in restaurant was slow. outdated. The pool heater was broken and that was the main reason we chose that hotel. The hotel charged me 3 rooms instead of 2. And it is difficult to get my money back, to many calls to do. The room was not as clean as I would like. I had to wipe off the bathroom counters myself before I felt comfortable putting our belongings on them. The entire hotel could use to have the ducts cleaned. It smells very musty and there is thick black dust/mold on the ceilings/ventilation. Also, the ceiling of our bathroom leaked and a large strip of plaster actually fell on my husband while showering. The restaurant is not good. Breakfast was really salty and nor very good. I did not like the way the woman at the front desk treated me. She was very rude, very unprofessional and absolutely did not help me at all! Folks like her should not be around the public! I would not recommend this hotel! When one is treated in such a disrespectful manner upon arrival, it tends to leave a bitter taste about your stay there. They were very nice at check in. The maid didnt clean our room the second day we stayed. She made the beds.... Didnt clean bathroom, coffee pot still had coffee in it, didnt vacuum, old glasses on patio..... Had to go to front desk for more cups and coffee for our second morning:(. Fitness Center had poorly maintained equipment. Most of the equipment was unusable. Listing a Fitness Center as a feature of the hotel is misleading. What they have is a room with some very old and poorly maintained equipment. Internet Service was awful! If you need to be connected while you are traveling this is not a good place to stay. Pillows were terrible! Hotel was dated and looked tired. Photos were deceiving. After staying at this property I felt their price was too high. No fridge or microwave. Pillows were lousy. Pillows too soft/insubstantial Price was extremely high Not very updated. Decor is dated. Restaurant is just ok. Had dinner there but wouldn't go back. Wife had T-bone that was thinnest I've ever seen.
