I was very impressed with the very friendly staff. They went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable and nice. Hometown friendly is how you could relate the staff. Also, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. It was in a good location for our activities. Very quiet, peaceful. Room was small and clean. Wi-Fi was fast. Convenient location to the trolly, City Market, restaurants, etc. Had best night of sleep in a long time.
all reviews » We enjoyed walking on the new trail into downtown Durango. I recommend the Durango dog park to any dog owners, wonderful. On shuttle route Lady at check in was very friendly and nice. Easy going, friendly, helpful, homey accomodations. The people were great. It was convenient for us. Convenient location. Friendly staff. When my wife needed a hair dryer a loaner was furnished imediately. The rooms were clean. The showers were hot. It was close to our activities. It was pretty much what I had expected for the price!. It is an older motel, a bit worn and shabby, but clean and quiet. We would stay there again. location - good access to river walk. friendly desk staff. Roomy but dark and dated fittings. Microwave, Fridge,Friendly Staff. I had a place to sleep. clean and nice people. It was in Durango. location. Location. The front desk girl moved her car so we could park in the parking lot in the evening & not on the street. Chairs in front of room to sit outside listen to the birds. There were five of us and we all loved the plush towels. The young gentleman at the desk. He was very helpful. Location was great, easy to find, parking was okay. the bed was nice and hard. The bed was comfortable. it had a bed. nothing. Good location. Nothing. Nothing actually. it was noisy but with the room fan on, the noise was muffled. Mattress was uncomfortable. Pillows were poor quality and very flat. Could use a blow dryer and coffee maker. And please make sure the bathrooms are clean. Ours was full of "fur" around the toilet--very dirty floor--toilet was NOT clean either. Bathrooms need to be steralized--don't rush through this. The plastic on the beds. A bit too far from the historic district although the free trolley service is very helpful. My husband didn't like the mattress, but it was fine for me. Non-smoking room smelled like it had recently been a smoking room. only had 2 pillows asked as the desk for 2 more ...received and appreciated. It was run down and seemed like a cheap motel but was still over $100/night. Staff young and could not answer questions. We booked two rooms of the same, and were next to each other, but one room had more amenities than the other; could have been a suit to open door between, which would explain the difference, but there was a large, heavy cabinet in the way so could not open the adjoining door. The non-smokimg room smelled of cigarette smoke. Holes in carpet under one of the chairs. Water flow was weak. No shampoo provided. No computer desk. No in-room coffee maker. No breakfast offered. One small ice machine which was almost always out of ice. Perhaps about 20 percent overpriced for what you get. The rooms needed more pillows. The mattresses and pillow were hard and uncomfortable. street noise. a little run down. no coffee facilities in the room -only in reception which did not help opening at 7am. This meant we had to get coffee at nearby fast food joint before we set off on day of our departure. Windows were not locked when we arrived in our room. One window did not have a lock.The light was not working in one of the outside stairways. The police activity as we arrived which wasn't caused by the Inn but it kept the office person from being available at our check in. There was only 1 washcloth with 2 bath towels and 2 handtowels??? It smelled as though it had been sprayed with something to cover up other odors. Seemed overpriced for what one got...no amenities (hair dryer, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, etc., etc...). no coffee in room. The bed was terrible. Apparently I paid extra for the room because it had a special mattress, which was too hard and onside dipped down so my boyfriend opted to sleep on the floor. Special mattress needs to be sent back for return for money. Wish I could have my money back. noise. Carpets need a good tclean. Noisy!. no hairdryer. a bit noisy. Room # 217 smelled like urine. I asked the girl at the desk if they had anything like air fresheners. She said no. I bought air freshener & a candle but it didn't help. Not enough parking spaces especially when it's biker weekend. Carpet was heavily stained. The was not a hair dryer, shampoo or hand lotion provided. It was very noisy. When we were there it looked like it was more suited for traveling workmen and not family friendly at all. That we were told that only one night was going to be charged to our credit card. We had 3 rooms. 2 rooms for 3 nights and 1 room for 2 nights. They charged all the nights and rooms before we even checked in. They only had one roll away bed for the whole motel and it was already taken so we had to go to walmart and buy a sleeping bag so our 12 year old had to sleep on the floor. The pillows were very uncomfortable and no amenities for the price of the room. Will not stay again. Air conditioner was so noisy that we did not sleep well. Bathroom floor was extremely dirty, hot tub was only warm. Bathroom window did not have a curtain & since we were on the 1st floor, people could see in. Overpriced compared to other motels in the area. outdoor furniture filthy, office often closed in the mornings, air conditioner did not work. Carpet filthy and sticky. Noisy. Sheets were scratchy, had to put a blanket between them and me, they use horrible soap?. The walls are very thin and there were people talking outside until 11:00PM, so it was hard to get to sleep. Amenities are sparse. There was no shampoo or conditioner. The office was closed when we left at 5:00AM so we didn't get to take advantage of the coffee and roll that was to be provided. the room was not cleaned properly. There was a half-eaten sandwich between the night stand and the bed, coke syrup on the nightstand, and a mayonaise wrapper over the peep hole on the door. everything; low class dump grossly overpriced; should be torn down! Sleep with a gun under my pillow with one ear for my car alarm. Not much choice in Durango except overpriced dumps and even more overpriced mediocrity. Decor was really dated and repairs need to be made. Bathroom smelled like mildew, plastic covering over bed was annoying, people above us were loud, lighting was poor over the sink, was way overpriced for the quality we saw. I requested a non-smoking room, the room REEKED OF CIGGARETTS, also everyone who smoked in the hotel gathered outside of our room (120) and even used the chairs provide to our room and used a LARGE commercial ashtray provided by the hotel to sit and smoke-NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!. The room smelt of cigarettes, the carpet needed shampooing, it was definitely over priced for what you got, needs renovating. I don't understand how this was one of the top rated motels in the area! The staff was not friendly and the rooms were worse than motel 6. I have to think twice about this rating system.... Bad Mangering. The hotel was rated three stars, which it clearly isn't. There was a dirty plunger left in the room and the toilet barely worked.
