We had a great experience at The Cove Motel. The goodness began with being given a better room than we reserved just because Ginette did not want our family to stay in a smaller room.We were upgraded to a larger room with an ocean view! What large chain hotel would do that? We also found that every staff member had the same desire to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The housekeeping staff was very attentive but not intrusive. The accomodations were fantastic for the price that we paid. Ou.
all reviews » Room was very nice and clean, loved little kitchenette, nice when you have kids and are trying to do a weekend getaway for low $$. Publix is a mile up the street. Beautiful pool deck clean and heated like they said. I was scared when booked because it was inexpensive, decide not only because of the price but had very good reviews. Turned out to be very nice and as long as they keep the cost down we will be back. Staff very nice and friendly, lovely lady that works the front desk. gave me the op. The front desk has this really adorable guard cat that had both my daughter and I sold immediately. The lady at the front desk was nice. I loved the location, so close to everything! The hotel is an older hotel - could use some TLC - but our stay was great. My daughter loooved the heated pool (it was kinda cold when we were there). We will be coming back soon :). I have been going to Cove Motel for about five years now and have always found the staff friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and fully equipped. I highly recommend this for family and you can't beat the price or location. I will continue to go there every chance I get. The price was $50 per night. Our room had 2 full sized beds, table and chairs, full kitchen including cookware and tableware, and an outside table and chairs. There was a pool on the property and outdoor grills. We were right on the beach. We loved it. Pretty much everything. They just finished phase one of a three phase renovation, so that's to be expected. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Far enough away from the busy section of town, but close enough to get there in 5 minutes if needed. The staff was very, very good in getting anything you asked for,the view was fantastic and the little pool was just right. Not a big place which we loved and slept very comfortably. Most definitely going back next trip to Daytona Beach. Our stay was pleasant. The hotel was dated but it had a nostalgic feel and look. It was not a tourist type hotel. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. The room was also bigger than anticipated. I would stay here again.a. Beach front rooms. The kitchen was great. It allowed you to have breakfast in your room. You could also have your drinks and treats. This allows for more time on the beach instead of always going out to eat. access to the beach is steps away from your room. The staff was very friendly thanks Jeanette, hotel manager. Very quiet family oriented,close to restaurants and shopping. We will be back next year!. Room had 14" Refrigerator, cooking range, necessary cuttlery and pots for cooking. Room was neat and clean and check-in was quite fast. Room was way better than what we expected and paid for. Great little place. It was very clean and the staff, value and location was amazing. I will be staying there again if i go back to Daytona and will be telling all my friends about it too!. nice location, beautiful beach area. Nice kitchen, everything needed for cooking most anything. This motel was right on the beach and has a kitchenette area. I had two rooms and we were very satisfied and would definitely stay there again. It would be good if it smelled more like cookies or brownies since it is more like a mom and pop little motel. Nothing. We liked everything. What was not to like?. The shower head was outdated and I would recommend it be replaced. It would have been nice if beach chairs and umbrellas were available, even if they could be rented. There was nothing to not like!. I don't have any thing -ve to list. Air conditioning seemed lacking toward the end of our stay. The room had almost everything but did not have a hair dryer. Motel needs alittle updating. Building could use some work, faucets leaky, rapid water temperature changes in shower, carpet needed a shampoo, elevator a bit small. It was a little too far from our destination of the Hilton, where the MS150 bike ride ended and started. Nothing. The shower head didn't put out a lot of water. the whole place needs a face lift. bathrooms need to be redone. place needs new carpet and drapes. needs new appliances. plumbing needs repair. the whole outside needs paint. I hated that I didn't get to stay the whole day because my husband had to back to work, but next time definitely gonna stay longer!. Shower head was more or less an open pipe. Water temperature regulation was difficult if someone else in another room was showering at the same time. WiFi did not work in my room. Cant find anything bad to say. Guest next door complaining about music at 2pm which is party time and it was not loud or vulgar. I couldn't stay longer!. There were roaches in our room. It needs to be updated. There are no laundry facilities. Regretfully the office was closed (once we had an electrical problem and once we went for coffee) in the morning. Not a thing. nothing. Small bathrooms, floors need shampooing!. It said 2 beds online & there was only 1 bed & a couch.& the balcony was a little small. That I did not have an ocean view room and I did not get my extra bed and my son ended up sleeping on the floor. We also could not use the microwave due to the lack of outlets. When we did try to plug in the microwave, it shocked my son and left black soot on the extension plug the motel is using. Booked ocean front, but got view,,, but lucked out and view was still really good.... Did not care for all no smoking.. Last minute,,,. No heat, told to use oven and parking was a problem but it was during Turkey RodRun. Mattress was uncomfortable. The doors to room 212. Showers sucked no pressure and changed from hot to cold constantly.
