Christine at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Courtney, in housekeeping, made us feel welcome from the get-go and asked us to let her know if we needed anything. The room was very clean and had everything we needed, including the beautiful ocean front view. The pool was large enough to accommodate us and several families with children. Everything was wonderful. I've lived in Volusia Co for 25 years and have stayed in hotels on the coast countless times. The Beachside Motel is now.
all reviews » The view of the morning sunrise. The balcony was a bonus, just being able to kick back and relax watching the ocean. The room was large but not too large to be comfortable. The staff were great from the time we checked in till when we left, very knowledgeable of the area and willing to give tips on what to see and when. Will definitely be back. The location was great for Daytona speedway access. Great breakfast restaurant The Cracked Egg across the street. Kitchenette was convenient. Nice clean heated pool and ocean access with onsite parking. Staff was friendly and caring. Gave us 4 extra pillows!. sun all day to 4pm., as motel is only 5 stories high. The girls, Tiffany. Christine, Sierra exceptionally nice, and helpful. cleaning ladies right there for new supplies. just have to ask,. close to all the activities around the area. friendly and alert staff.great location and just the right size of motel on the strip. Not one of those large multi floor hotels blocking afternoon sun.Cleaning staff were courteous and helpful. The location was right for us, on the beach and not too far from our family in Port Orange. If I had to pick any thing, and I would have to dig real deep, it would be the way the toilet flushed. It did work well, but it was just different. Rooms were a little dated. Most noticeable was the over use of air freshener in the lobby, hallways and elevator. People with asthma related issues might have a problem. Ceiling tiles in bathroom were painted over and flaking. Beds OK with lumpy mismatched ready to be replaced pillows. nothing. The rug in the room felt damp to me and the weather was not humid. The pool was not attended to, not cleaned during the three days we were there. Room was a bit worn. Older motel and it showed in the fabrics and carpeting. Needs different pillows, thats the only bad thing i can say. I am used to staying at larger facilities , there is no restaurant or bar on the grounds. Many places are within walking distance though. Very dated, but did the job. The lights around the pool area should be dimmer. Rooms were well kept but old and dated. Kitchenette was very old and very small. Appliances and decor need updates. Outdated rooms. noisy water pipes,too far from restraunts,no continental breakfast. need up date things. requested a room on a higher floor. Was given ground level. Front desk was more concerned with inconveniencing 2 or 3 night people than honoring our reservation made for 5 nights that was booked in April. A little outdated but good value and decent location. Room was very small, humidity left a bad smell and most appliances had rust. rundown condition no continental breakfast over use of air freshner tight parking spaces high price for room & servicen provided. the worst maid service ever, unclean.
