The hotel is located still close to the convention centre, but it is a design hotel. No crowd, very quiet and comfortable, rooms are lofts. If you are attending an event located at the convention centre I would exremely recommend this hotel as an alternative to the usual hotel chains. The staff was amazing! All were very friendly, courteous, and professional. The room was awesome! We loved the decor. It was very clean. Our view of downtown Dallas was simply gorgeous. We ate breakfast at The Bistro. The food was fresh and tasty. We will definitely stay at NYLO again!.

The shower was great, but the best part of the whole experience was the bed...AMAZING!!! Slept like a baby! The rooftop pool/ bar theme was nice. I was impressed by the staff's friendliness. They went above and beyond to be helpful and never acted as though we were a bother. I also liked that the water was free and the decor was very artsy. The hotel's design is very nice. Breakfast buffet for 14.99 is somehow poor, below expectations: there are scrambled eggs, sometimes bacon sometimes potatoes, wuerstel, then some bread. Fruit salad, cereals and yogurt. Had to ask for cream cheese, no ham no cheese; drinks, including coffee and orange juice are billed separately. No croissants. Poor choice of jams (2). No complaints. I would have liked to have had a mini fridge/microwave in the room. Room service would have also been a plus!. The female bartender at the pool! She never cracked a smile the whe 3 hours we were there. I stood in front of her for 10 minutes, and she never acknowledged me! I literally had to say excuse me, I would like to close out my tab! Really?!? The pool was too warm and very dirty. The Libby has a terrible smell, like sewer gas. It was really quite overwhelming!. The walls were very thin, we could hear our neighbors when they were merely chatting. A towel rail for bath towels would have been useful. The parking lot across the street is only $5 a night, but is a ridiculous arrangement of poking dollar bills into a hole in a metal structure, with no ticket supplied. The pool hours...closing at 7PM, a little early for us, when we really had beautiful sun sets to watch. No lock on the bathrooms. I really dont like when the pool closed at 7pm and bar open. My friend is under age and cant go there to view the city at very late night. I paid for a room expensive. Is that worth to waste my money? U need to change some rules. For who paid a room ought go up to rooftop for view at anytime no matter of any age. Shame..... Got stung for the buffet breakfast, it wasnt that good and certainly not worth 16 dollars. Room needed more lighting - it was too dark. Public spaces were also a little dark. room was noisy better sound insulation needed. They charged me more than Booking confirmation. The last night was increased by 16 usd. They explainained it was Friday. But I had already booked the same rate on your site. I didn't like this. The room was loud. You can hear theater running from the room above you. Any noise in the hallway comes right into the room. I did not like that at all, and it made sleeping a problem. My only negative remark: The concrete construction makes it not soundproof. I enjoyed a classical singer in my neighboring room. I was lucky as she was very good. :-). The staff in the roof-top bar were rude. Also, we wanted to play pool but were told this wasn't an option as the lobby bar was closed at 9pm !. No room service.
