What people say
The value for money here is amazing. It is an inexpensive motel but with decent beds, good sheets, little details that give it great value. Had wifi in our room unlike some of the more expensive hotels we stayed in. No hideous comforters here! Staff were great.
We were looking for a place to fit our budget. We were very satisfied and the room was clean and we were give clean towels every day and the bed was made for us even though I made it. Would stay there again if needed.all reviews »
I stayed at the Red Carpet Inn to watch my grandson play baseball at the Dreams Park. It was a perfect location because it was between Cooperstown and the Dreams Park.
Also the bed was very comfortable!.
The staff was attentive and responsive. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and there were ample towels and amenities. The whole experience was much better than I expected. Good value overall.
We enjoyed our stay at the Red Carpet. It was comfortable, excellent
rate, and had the things you would need for an enjoyable stay which is
what we had while in Cooperstown.
If was just close enough to The Baseball hall of Fame where you did not have to worry about what time you left to get there traffic was not an issue.
Convenient, inexpensive and very flexible. We had to cancel one night
(no problem), and left early in the morning (coffee ready for us early).
It was comfortable and clean
for the price and conveniently
located to the dream fields of
Cooperstown.
The web site was easy to use and the response was almost immediate. The lodging was as advertized.
price. stayed one night to see grandson play bb at dreams park. did not want to spend a lot.
Proximity to dining establishments, and this close, to downtown
Cooperstown and the hof.
That it had a refrigerator and microwave. It was clean and comfortable.
closeness to Cooperstown
comfortable room.
Clean and comfortable, easy to get to.
We were 5 mins from the dream park.
All were very good services..
Rooms were quiet and clean.
Good price....very clean.
It was clean and neat.
location & price.
Affordable, clean.
cleanliness.
Clean; Frig, microwave & in-room coffee were appreciated.
Price for purpose of my trip (golfing with a friend).
Single storey,
Just a basic no frills motel.
good location to the MLB HOF.
Good Price.
Cheap.
The location to 'downtown' Cooperstown and little league
baseball park was good. The Inn was located right along the main road.
Bottom line = good location.
Location to Cooperstown. Good location to several Breweries/wineries
for touring.
The location was good and the price was reasonable.
Location quiet.
Location.
Parking.
Price.
reasonable proximity to downtown and Baseball Hall of Fame; fridge and microwave in room; good size flat screen TV.
It was the only game in town at the time. Cleanliness was acceptable...not great.
It was close to attractions.
No complaints.
Nothing so convenient to everything you could need just a short drive away could not have been more happy for the price.
I have no complaints or concerns.
No complaints from us.
Not to much around to do other then going into Cooperstown.
Even though we had gps, Overgrown bushes obstructing signage, in both
directions missed driveway entrance twice!.
The wifi did not work. The continental breakfast consisted of apples and
mini muffins.
continental breakfast could offer additional items.
Hard to leave/exit to the main road..On a curve and some
shrubs(right side) are blocking view to exit onto highway..BE
CAREFUL..look twice.
Soap bars were tiny.
Breakfast area tiny and food sparse.
The price could have been a bit lower, or the advertised breakfast a bit
more extensive.
pillows are too small. no extra toilet paper.
Handicap parking when it's not needed. Each room has its own spot right in front at ground level. The only thing that changes with the blue paint is that it doesn't allow a non handicap driver the ability to park directly in front with a clear vision of their vehicle.
free breakfast could be better.
toilet did not flush well, room was very bright when the sun came up due to gap in door frame and too-small curtains, pillows were rock-hard.
Not a place I would take my wife - amenities are sparse.
Bad getting out of the driveway trying to look right - very poor visibility.
Breakfast was just a baby orange and poppyseed muffins, apples and coffee. Not worth having.
nothing.
The Beds Were Worn Out.
Other guests were smoking outside the room & it smelled. The room was not as clean as I would expect. "Breakfast" was refrigerated mini muffins & oj.
a.c.didnot work.
The coffee pot from the previous visitor was never emptied/cleaned.
There was coffee in in when we arrived and the same coffee was in it
when I left. Just one of those things that shouldn't happen. The
wifi was quite slow. Also, the price was a bit high. I stayed at a
Doubletree in Binghamton on my drive home and only spent about $4 more
but the hotel was much nicer.
Staff not very friendly. The first thing we noticed when we walked in
was the sink was tilted to the left, it was loose from the wall.
Couldn't open refrigerator, tilted to the front, the door opened
partially. Toilet needed to be plunged, by us!.
Beds were hard and the pillows were nothing like pillows. Felt like towels rolled up and a pillow case put on.
Handicapped room had no where to set anything in the bathroom. Needs a
shelf. No hair dryer provided. Packets of shampoo too small. Soap
terrible and did not produce foam. My husband who is very unsteady and
uses a walker could not manage the shower because it was part bath tub
and couldn't get in or out even with my help.
Amenities could have been a lot better.
Staff was not friendly and made people wait for no reason. Put do not disturb sign on door and happened to come back to room just in time to stop housekeeping from entering our room.
Distance from town
Overall comfort
Amenities.
Less than friendly reception staff; lack of cleanliness (esp. bathroom floor and tub); the MOST uncomfortable beds/mattresses we've ever encountered... these have long outlasted their usefulness and have seen better days; all in all, not great value for $100+ per night.
Poor lighting. Sub-standard accommodations. Toilet malfunction. Ancient a/c...dampness in bedding, clothing. Billing higher than the reservation confirmation but will deal with that when I get home.
Bottom line: never a first choice, or even a second, but happy to get something at last minute on a holiday weekend.
The beds were very uncomfortable, my husband & I both woke up with a
back ache that lasted all day.
