This is the 4th time I have stayed at Key West. The value for the room is excellent. That is the reason I keep going back to Key West when I visit Cookeville. The people that run and take care of the place are very nice and helpful. The non-smoking room truly was non-smoking...not covered up with air freshener. I loved that! Clean and comfortable. Although the facility was nearly full, it was very quiet at night so we actually rested. Staff was pleasant.
all reviews » Overall, I like the Key West Inn in Cookeville. On a scale of 1-5 with 5 being excellent, I would give the motel a "4". The room was nice, the Vizio flat screen tv was great and the king-size bed was perfect !. The staff and owners of the Key West were terrific. If I had a problem, they took care of it immediately. It's clean, well run and convenient. Got a good night sleep. Very comfortable, quiet. Was only there one night and very brief. Staff seemed very friendly for what I saw of them. This is a nice basic place to stay. Not a lot of frills, but clean and well located. It did what i needed. Everything was fine. I got some rest and the breakfast was ok. It was well worth the price. location was easy to find, bed and chair were comfortable. The price was very reasonable and it was clean. Very well designed and spacious. Very friendly staff,great value. Friendliness, fair rates. Clean good loction. the day time front desk clerks were very pleasing to work with. the location was perfect. Close to Tenn Tech. U. Price, but that was before I got into room Location. Just a personal quirk...the coffee was rather weak. The towels were clean, but a tad on the rough side and the vanity drain seemed a little slow, but everything else was fine. They could put a little more into the breakfast, but what they had got me by. People upstairs had ver noisy kids. walls were thin, could hear our neighbors like they were in the room with u. No coffee maker in the room as advertised,also no sleeper sofa in the king /smoking room and when I opened the phone book that was inside the night stand,a used hypodermic needle fell out.THANK God my 11 year old daughter didn't find it. Nothing. All ok. the night clerk was rude when i told him about the bugs in the shower. he acted as if it was an inconvenience for him, but didn't consider that it might be for us as well. he was extremely irritated, and even said, "how many times are you going to change rooms tonight?" when i had to tell him the a/c stopped working in the second room we were moved to. rude rude man. A friend walked in and got the same rate I did and I booked months earlier. My feet were solid black after walking around on the carpet a very brief time barefooted. The bathroom was nasty we did not even use the shower facilities and really didn't want to use the toilet but had choice. The milk for breakfast was sour. I would not recommend this motel to anyone. The pictures on their Web site are very misleading.
