staff are fantastic hotel kept very clean and comfortable, great kitchen area with cooker fridge etc all very clean and in good working order. so excellent for self catering. great pool, free fishing off dock (take your own rod) only 4 min walk to beach, quiet street area. bars and plenty eating places just minuets walk away. jolly trolly stops every half hour so no need to drive. A wonderful place to stay.
all reviews » Surprising the place was very nice. Our room overlooked the pool and right to the left of us was a dock with a Lil sit area. Very cozy and romantic. The hotel was about less than 2 minutes from the beach and a nice walk to all the shopping stores on the strip of pier 60. The room was very nice. We plan to go back when we take another trip outtto Clearwater. Staff were great. We traveled around 12 hours to get to location. We arrived around 4 hours before check in. The staff were very courteous and let us check in without any extra cost. Location was also great-few steps to beach/Gulf and shops/restaurants within few blocks. Property is kept up well and is clean. We liked the fact that it is a small hotel, very cozy, clean, by the canal with a pier and across the beach. Margaret the owner was very kind and made sure we had a execelent stay, I wood recommend this hotel to anybody who wants to relax after a day at beach. RICK FROM ORLANDO. Rooms were nicely furnished. Renovations to entire facility have greatly improved comfort and appeal Staff was friendly and helpful Pool is clean Onsite patios and decks were perfect for outdoor eating Staff worked hard to keep everything clean. Now this place was a nice surprice and we loved it. Nice spacious room, clean. Short walk to the beach, very nice swimmingpool. A nice stroll for those who want´s to dine out. Block and a half off the beach but really easy fast access. The room was just remodeled and very nice. It is very close to the beach and it has an view of the intercoastal water. Location was good 2 blocks from beach we could walk to everything nice staff they were very accommodating arrived late and left late allowed us to stay without extra charges. Location. you have to pay extra for maid service, I didn't take maid service so if you run out of toilet roll you have to go ask for it. bit embarrassing. The bathroom could be more updated. I am sure they have fixed it by now and didn't know about it before. The fridge didn't work but they brought us one in the morning. This delayed us on getting our grocery's for the room the first day. We had to spend the next morning doing that instead of the beach. The refrigerator was off. I understand saving electric but knowing we were checking in, I would have appreciated it on and cold. The hidden sign about doing your own dishes and garbage or a 50 dollar charge would apply could be overlooked. I don't mind doing my own dishes but think taking out the garbage is taking it a bit far. and 10 a.m. is way too early for check out. Was quite except last 2 days kids above us. Recommend getting 2nd floor. There wasn't much not to like, the room was a bit cramped, the lighting was dim it was hard to read, and you could not open the windows to get any fresh air. Price was a little high but it was spring break. We liked everything. A perfect for us. Nothing. The Wi-Fi signal wasn't very strong ( had trouble staying connected )and we were very close to the office. Nothing everything was fine. nothing. No curtains on windows, light right outside window that lite up the room while trying to sleep. The lady at the front desk was less than enthusiastic, made me feel like I was a burden. This was when I showed up to check in, as well as when I called before I arrived in Florida to double check reservations. Pool hours. As soon as we got ready to go in the pool, we hasn't even stepped unto the pool, we were told the pool is closed now. 9:00Pm. didn't have a view of the water from our room. The light over the table to eat didn't work. So that night the dinner table as dark. Slightly old-fashioned decor (but for travellers on a budget or families it hardly matters). felt a little uncomfortable staying there with kids. Excited from description to be beach-side, and we were 2 blocks from the beach. Decor a bit old and the air conditioning made the room smell a bit funny on the first day. When we asked in the reception what to do in the area , they just gave us a brochure! It had no elevator and carrying all the suitcases was difficult! The daily cleaning was with extra cost and we had to clean the kitchen by ourselves before checking out!! It was 15' from south beach!!. Cockroaches in bedroom and bathroom. Of $80.00 per night, but when I got there the room was actually $110.00 per night. I almost didn't stay, but given the fact it was a nice place, and I didn't feel like Shopping around the area for another room, because I was to tired from traveling. you could not watch tv in bed you had to sit on the couch which is not relaxing. No body in office 24/7. the shower head was leaking and got water all over the bath room floor when you turned it on. Management had the attitude that we were an inconvenience. There large extended family monopolized the pool all day. Took 3 hours to clean pool on Saturday morning. Poor service Sparse furnishings Tired equipment Overall drab.
