Very comfortable accommodation, very helpful staff and super relaxing. Kids particularly liked the pool and spa. On top of that we liked gym and the close proximity to shops and restaurants. Good choice at breakfast. Premium Outlet mall was excellent, petrol station handy too and local Karl Strauss (Mac and cheese) and BJ's restaurant (deep filled pizza) served great food and beer. Good to have a fridge in the room and complimentary toiletries were lovely.
all reviews » Friendly and helpful staff. They have self drawn maps available explaining how to walk to Legoland, and can also bring and take you with the shuttle. They helped us with sending our letters to the Netherlands at the reception. Location is nice, next to a nice shopping mall, with actual some charm and good restaurants. Only half an hour drive to San Diego. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. The food was great and the rooms were quite comfy. The location couldn't be beat. Very close to the freeway and in an upscale and very safe neighborhood. Was about a 30 minute drive to Sea World and San Diego Zoo. The staff drove us and picked us up from Legoland. About a 7 minute ride. 1. across the street from Carlsbad Premium Outlets. 2. a short drive away (5 mins.) from Legoland. 3. provides free shuttle service to and from Legoland. 4. good hot breakfast buffet that includes sausage and omelette. 5. friendly and helpful staff. 6. has Microwave oven, Refrigirator and LCD/LED TV. We enjoyed the room, very large and clean. Beds were very comfy. I forgot my diamond earrings in the room and within 3 days I received them in the mail. Honest housekeeping. I like that. I would stay there again. Breakfast was really good. My son and I had a wonderful room and a great time. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded to an executive suite with a hottub in the room. The breakfast was excellent as well. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you. Rooms were quite a good size (even for a 2 weeks stay) and each had a terrace. A few restaurants around for good evening meals. Despite having a room close to the freeway side of the hotel it was quite quiet. Enjoyed our stay because of location cleanliness and comfort. That room was clean!. the shopping area. Was ok. Breakfast room was a bit crowded at peak times. The paper plates and plastic cutlery at breakfast! This is too cheap and too environmentally unfriendly for a hotel in this class. Also, in the bathroom there is a note saying that when your towels are on the rack, they will not be replaced. I took the effort to collect our towels and put them on the rack, but still they were replaced by new ones. Breakfast menu changed little day to day. We were told the gate to the courtyard would be locked after 10 pm, but it was left open. 1. This hotel feels a bit old. 2. Cable TV reception is not HD quality. 3. The toilet in our room was a bit smelly. I really can't think of anything I didn't like about this hotel. The lighting in the room was a little dim (a problem if you need to study in the evenings :)). Breakfast was on the really cheap side. Smell from the drains quite persistent. A few of the front desk were not very helpful and inattentive. Shuttle pick up was hard to coordinate. We ended up walking back from Legoland one of the days of our stay. My room was dark. I had paperwork to review and could not accomplish my task; the pool water was way too cold for us to use; and price was a high for a somewhat dated facility. We had to park very far from our room and the breakfast variety could be better...maybe different fruits, French toast, Cheerios as a healthier cereal choice. Breakfast buffet could be improved. I called one evening the front desk and I asked her to transfer my call to my friends room and she told me to wait because she was busy with the computer.Been to a lot of hotels around the world but an operator or front desk never lets the guest wait. This is a fall back. We liked it all!. I didn't like that the electrical appliances was making noise, but I just turned them all off. Could hear the noise of the freeway throughout the night. late room servicing. No elevators to second floor. The walls were a little thin, which made it easier to hear your neighbors. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom, and having been assigned one of the worst, noisiest rooms on the property when many of the rooms were not yet occupied upon our arrival. We felt that we were treated like second-class travelers because we booked through letsbookhotel.com at a discounted price. My room had a balcony that led to another balcony and cleaning closet. the breakfast....needed pancakes or waffles for kids...plain eggs and sausage was very salty. Poor, poor internet connection - could not get on line in Room 165 but walk towards the Pool and then get a strong signal. No internet signal in Lanai Room either ! Internet availability is very important to me. Also, on arrival, found a previous occupants used "sock" by side of bed - not the very best first impression !. Breakfast. No wifi. Wifi isn't that great.. Didn't work most of the time . Nothing enough to note. The mold in the bathtub grout made taking a bath questionable. The air conditioning had towels stuffed between the motors and the housing in our room to keep the motors from vibrating and making a lot of racket when trying to sleep. Obviously towels by guests reflects poor maintenance and air filter needed cleaning. The staff (lady) at check in and the lady who stocked and cleaned at breakfast, she was very rude. And jacuzzi was very dirty. Not sure how this place qualifies as a 3 star hotel. Our view was of pipes. The common areas are very outdated. Workout room smelled like stale air. Thought we would be closer to the ocean instead it was right off the interstate. Also none of the gates with locks on them were actually locked. Anyone could access the facilities. Just expected a little more of an upscale place. The bathroom have Fungus around the windows and shower around the edge have fungus too. The air condition vent in the room was very Filthy I took pictures and show it to the front desk receptionist ( they did not care about it) they tell me they will work on it. I will not stay there for the money did I paid for it. &Quot; I would like a discount on bill for the poor Maintenance on the room.". The initial room we received smelled like mildew and leaking water from the ceiling light fixture. Was given a new room in the evening, no compensation offered. the smell in the room and the carpet was very bad. When walking without any socks my feet became very blank in the first couple of steps. yak. i had requested to have a king bed, instead i got a 2 queen bed,. Too much traffic. I arrived @ l2:00 and was told (not very friendly) that my room would not be ready until 4:00pm. I asked if anything earlier might be done and she told me she would call me via cell. I did not received a phone call or any special attention to my perdicument. Left a bitter taste in my mouth about the insensativity extended to me.
