I came for a quick one night stay for business. The hotel was very clean and fresh. The colors were bright and modern, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant (The Windjammer) was great. Excellent quality food - the salad bar was fresh and fully stocked. I ordered the crumb topped scrod and it was one of the best pieces of fish I have had in a restaurant recently. I liked the cheese and crackers as well. I'd definitely stay again if I were in town.
all reviews » I really appreciated the kindness of front desk staff to help me when my flight got cancelled and I had to spend the night in Burlington. This hotel was very convenient for us. We went to the Shelburne Museum for two days - Sat-Sun. This is definitely a two-day minimum museum and was well worth the cost and the trip from Mystic. This is a must see museum and this hotel makes the trip great. Good location for visiting Burlington, Shelburne Museum etc. Plenty of parking. Two swimming pools. Good breakfast. Room was very clean and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Great location close to most everything in the Burlington area and only 1.5 miles from the airport. Restaurant was also very good. We had a reservation on a busy Saturday nite and were seated in mnutes from our reservation time. The staff was great and very helpful (special thanks to Jeffery...). The facility was clean and comfortable! Excellent Breakfast & Nightly Cookies! The Upper Deck Pub... Is a great place to eat & and have a cold one... A really nice hotel with some excellent facilities. The hotel has a conference centre attached which has a bar and restaurant . The hotel also has two pools, a fitness suite and is across the road from a large shopping mall. Cosy clean rooms, very nice restaurant right at the hotel and most of all: shuttle service available at any time of the day even for a solo traveller. The staff was very friendly. Great choice for a stay in Burlington. We love the convenience of staying at the Inn when flying in and out of Burlington. The staff is good with wake up calls for 4:15 departures for the airport. The driver of the van is always pleasant and prompt. staff were hospitable & knowledgeable.Even the cleaning staff.The room was spotless and comfortable.We are in Vt 2-3 times/year and will be back. The restaurant Mgr.handled a problem with fineness and tact. The staff was awesome, upgrading us for free when our first room was terribly loud. Also, there is a free shuttle that runs to the university whenever you ask. Very convenient for those not renting a car. The hotel was centrally located to everything we wanted to do while in Vermont. It's only a few minutes South of Burlington and a short drive to the ski resorts in the East. We had an issue with our reservation (was not in their system) and the staff did not hesitate to upgrade us to a suite at the same price. Was very clean and confortable. Easy to get to from Burlington ferry. Staff very helpful, rooms & facilities appear clean & well kept. Windjammer rest' & bar good. Staff & food good. I liked the location and the convenience of having a restaurant on premises. We were attending my son's college graduation so having the extra amenities was a plus. I loved how clean the rooms were and everything was freshly painted and remodeled. There were nice views and we felt very safe in the room. Exceptionally clean. I had the sense the placed was just remodeled . An added plus was that it is off the highway making it very quiet. The location, right off Highway 89. Nice setting, and a nice restaurant, unfortunately closed now for major renovations. The room is very comfortable. The Windjammer restaurant, we enjoyed the service & the food. On souper time. The continental breakfast was not as good as others I have had at Best Westerns. It had the hot waffle maker, but few other selections. They did have microwaveable breakfast sandwiches in the fridge that weren't bad, but when compared to other Best Westerns it was just not the same. Noisy neighbors all evening so much so that we finally had to call the front desk to quiet them down at 11 PM. Which they did after someone told them to be quiet. Thank you for attending to this nuance. The first room we were given looked out onto a very noisy extractor fan, but we were moved to a quieter room. We were charged a higher rate than the one quoted when we booked. Parking spaces in the lot were pretty narrow. We found that the The indoor pool water could have been a bit warmer... Nothing really. First negative we have had after many stays. I think the bathroom was a bit shabby with cigarette burns on the counter and the floor could have been cleaner in the bathroom. Both of us had a Caesar salad on the 1st night that was poor,lacked the usual ingredients and was overpriced.The 2nd night's meal was was all we have come to expect from our previous meals there. The only downside to the hotel was that the hot tub has been filled in with concrete. After long days of skiing, this would have been a great way to unwind. Nothing!. Breakfast area was far to small for a full hotel. Staff worked valiantly to keep up. Suggest 'pop up' toasters took far too long, conveyor toaster would be faster. Best Western in Victor (I90) also had scrambled eggs & sausages (very tasty). Again, staff worked very hard but facility was too small. I would have liked a policy of some peace and quiet after 10:30 PM as there was a lot of talking, running, giggling and stomping around by some younger families and teens. Much of it was in the hall outside our door so it made it hard to get rest for an early departure. There needed to be a table with chairs in our room. The remotes for the tvs, while easy to clean, were hard to use. The Windjammer has stiff competition from at least three other hotels nearby. Time to lower their prices. The Windjammer restaurant at lunch time, on arrival we received the regular menu, and the Special of the day menu. We ordered one of the special with the soup included. I received the soup & started enjoying it. When the server come back telling me that the special is off, & to finish the soupe.I Reorder a plate from the regular menu. My surprise, when I receved the bill & charged for the soup. I object, & received no satisfaction. Refrigerator made funny noise that might disturb a light sleeper. Not enough complimentary newspapers for everyone (get to the front desk early in the morning for that). A little hard to find behind a gas station off the main road. n/a. Bathroom very small. Coffee-maker in bathroom not attractive. Cookies only at 8pm (easy to miss), Breakfast wasn't great. Only eggs were hard boiled and not replenished at all. There was nothing we did not like. No frig. in room. The hot tub had been removed and we were not advised. I had stayed there before and did not think to ask and a hot tub was one of the reasons we went to that hotel. I suffer from a bad back and the long drive was going to be rewarded with a soak in the hot tub - very disappointed and we will not be going back there because of it. Breakfast. Carpet a bit worn in the room. Continental breakfast could be improved by using proper plates and cutlery - it lets the place down using cardboard and plastic. Stick a camera in the space if you need to stop people stealing. Walls are very thin. more spacious and closet room. Too expensive. Nothing. The extra charge on hold on my credit card. I never use room service extras. The breakfast was served with paper plates and plastic cutlery. nothing. every thing was good. Nothing. Don't have an answer (that's a good thing). Bit noisy. WI-Fi was difficult to connect to. No info in room that there are towels at the pool. Breakfast is a wonderful addition. However, the only protein source was hard boiled eggs. For folks who have wheat allergies, no other choices. Too bad. Check out the televised offer for electronic checkout...told at the desk that it's not available. Interesting . Fees for parking. Sharpie marker on duvet cover, sheets to indicate bed sizes to housekeeping, courtesy lotion highly scented causing allergic reaction, poorly fitting room doors letting all sounds from hallway in - you could see light all around the door when it was "securely" closed all the way and locked!. The walls are extremely thin so we could hear every conversation in adjoining rooms and in the hallway. There was a large group of young hockey players and their families the first 2 nights of our stay and kids were just running around playing in the halls at all hours.
