It was affordable and the hotel offered a decent continental breakfast and free wifi which is great when traveling. While staying at this hotel you are only ten miles from Jekyll and St. Simons which is great. The location was great, since we wanted to be near the beaches. We booked on line, so the price was wonderful. Check in was quick, rooms were very clean, large and comfy. The buffet breakfast excellent.

The pool area needs some attention and the staircase didn't stay locked. You are supposed to insert your key card to gain access to the second floor which we never had to do during our stay. First breakfast while it was great, we opted to stay for 4 nights because we enjoyed it so much, but then the breakfast started to loose some of it's attractiveness. The worst thing can say is the hallway and stairway carpets left much to be desired. The stairs smelled mustury, and the carpets were not vacumed once in the 4 nights we were there. ( There was a strawberry and piece of trash, just in from the stairs that never moved. The room had a funny, musty smell. Tractor trailers were parked close to the rooms and made a lot of noise upon early morning departures. zero. Continental breakfast was sparse and unappealing. Hot breakfast was lacking. Now well stocked or maintained. The toilet was loose and rocked. When I mentioned it to the staff on checking out, she acted like she was ignoring my comment. The bathroom was extremely small and with no fan. Swimming pool was closed. Bathroom needed a bit of maintenance. Checkout time was at 11:00 A.M., they began knocking on the door 1 hour prior to check out time. Informed them that we would be out by the 11:00am checkout time. However, that did not stop the cleaning staff(owners) from knocking on the door 2 additional times after they were informed that we would be out by 11:00. Room smelled like smoke. Shower curtain was broken. The rooms are old, not well maintained. We had to have our room changed because the hot water in the shower did not work and the toilet rocked badly. The pool water was dirty and the pool area was not maintained (dirty and in ill-repair). the hotel is run down and could use a good cleaning. The staff wasn't very helpful....we had to stay in three different rooms....rooms were out of date....the internet never worked.
