The owner Mark and all his staff were extremely helpful. The B&B has lots of unique artefacts and is a really individual place to stay. My boyfriend loved searching the bookshelves for interesting things to read! We both appreciated the fast free wifi (there is also a desktop for guests to use free of charge). And our room (the Osborne) was huge!! We will definitely consider staying here again when we return to NYC. all reviews »
Rooms, building and neighborhood were beautiful. Innkeeper friendly and
very knowledgeable about nyc. Staff went out of their way to help us
out. All of this, and it was a better value than the hotels we could
find in the area. Just be aware that nyc requires walking, and the
subway was a few blocks away. And of course nyc is more expensive than
most cities.
I loved everything!! Staying there was a GREAT decision. It was me and my 3 year old little girl and they were so great and super accomodating and helpful. We got maps, told where everything was, super clean and nice room-it was way awesome. I would 100% highly recommend this place!!.
Cozy, comfortable, quiet quarters in Brooklyn. Close to many things and great subway access so we could get all over NYC. Liked the ability to grab tea, coffee or hot chocolate at end of busy day.
It's a bit further out of town than most places to stay but the Q subway train from Prospect Park into Manhattan is very convenient, with regular, fast services (approx 30 mins to city centre). We also got a cab back from Williamsburg late one night for only $20. At times the radiator in our room was a bit noisy but that's what you get in an old house with so much character! We were fine with the shared bathroom as there is one on each floor so you are only ever waiting for a few minutes.
The ONLY thing I didn't put as excellent was the location, just because I wasn't familiar with the area and walked around at night a lot, which wasn't the best idea for that area. Just pay attention to what streets you're on and what time of day/night it is! :] Not bad at all though, I didn't have problems, just worried a little.
It would have been nice if the small kitchen-like area had a small sink, but that's minor.
