all reviews » I stayed at the hotel with my girlfriend for one night and a layover between two flights at jfk. The place is one of the rather few hotels around Williamsburg but a good place to go and explore this neighbourhood. The closest sub stations are metropolitan ave (g line) and lorimer (l line). They are within 5min walking distance. Bedford ave station is also easy to reach 5-10min. Even though the hotel doesn t seem to appealing at first sight the room was nice, really clean and exeeded our expec. This small hotel was very nice. It was clean and quiet despite being right next to a major freeway. The room was clean and in good condition. It was a five minute walk to get to nice dining and some interesting shops. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The breakfast was nice with yogurt and fresh fruit available and someone there constantly keeping things cleaned up. Excellent location. Can upgrade to city views which are very nice. Staff very accommodating. Handy continental breakfast included with stay. Several parking spots right outside the front door. Close to many bars and restaurants and the subway. I was happy with my stay at Le Jolie. The room was clean, had a nice TV, a fridge and a safe. Breakfast was included and was pretty decent. I liked that they included hard boiled eggs as a protein since I avoid carbs as much as possible. Excellent location in Williamsburg near a number of great bars & restaurants. However with so many decent places to eat nearby I only had breakfast once at the hotel. We liked everything, but a couple of minor points only. Room was kind of cramped, sort of European style; ok for two people but might be hard to stay there for an extended time. There is free parking on site, but spaces are limited. The bed was to soft for our liking, but that is personal taste. No complaints. the elevator was a little slow. Supposedly I was given a free upgrade! Wow the room was tiny. there were no free good movies on tv at this hotel. Construction on floor started around 9am, altho not too bad. There are only 6 parking spaces!. The breakfast area was very cold but the food was good. Rooms are rather tight for space to place luggage. Looks over freeway, building works next door, rooms small, not exactly cheap. very small room, didn't like the neigborhood (kind of dirty, but seemed to be safe). The location, too close to the expressway. The entrance was not very nice. It looked like you were entering through the back door. Nothing. Toilet stopped working in our room, which was a days worth of inconvenience trying to get it fixed...But after a bit of discussion we were given another room... no enough rooms, no queen or king size beds available. A little pricy. No workout room. Breakfast seating was a little cramped. The dead bolt didn't work on the door. room is small. small room!!!. Slow elevator. Nothing. Being questionably asked for my key after a long day at work. I love security and it made me feel safe once I knew they did this but there is an appropriate way to ask someone. Such as, "After a certain time we take precautions to ensure our guests safety." Not looking someone up and down saying show me your key, possibly insinuating that I was there for another reason!. They book us in a room where there was constuction going on in both rooms either side of us. LOUD machinery and hammering early in the morning. In my opinion this room should not be booked with guests until construction is complete. Bad Internet connection, comically small rooms even for nyc, difficult to sleep given road noise from the BQE.
