I was looking for something nice and econimical for an overnight stay. This place was highly recommended by friends who stay here often and they were right! It was one of the nicest, cleanest and friendliest places I have stayed at in the Branson area. I didn't get to meet Joe but Carol was absolutely a gem! She had my reservation, key and everything ready before I even arrived. Checking in was a snap! Nice room and immaculate! The location is great! Only 3 miles from SDC, 2 miles to get back t.
all reviews » I loved absolutely everything!!!! The Inn is ran by a great couple who uphold the values of those that choose to stay. When you ask for non-smoking, you can be rest assured it is non-smoking. The rooms don't have a stale/musty smell to them due to smokers smoking, and they are really clean rooms. I was not afraid to walk on the floors barefoot and the shower/tub was a perfect height. I have a poor leg but was able to get in and out w/o difficulty. The rooms are big, beds are clean, and they are. we were there for a southern gospel festival at silver dollar city. the hotel was very close to the park and out of the crowded area of theaters, etc. yet still close enough to do things in town when we wished to. they are also closer to the lake. staff were very nice and everything very clean. the price was excellent. The rooms were nice and very, very clean, Joe and Carol were so kind and helpful. They made you feel very welcome. The location is a little off the beaten path,however we really liked that, it was actually easier to get on and off the Branson strip. Old Southern Inn is a treasure for it's location, cleanliness, and the kindness of the owners! It felt like a home, and we certainly felt welcome by Joe! All of this for such a LOW price, too. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! :). This motel was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It was much better than other hotels we have stayed at with much higher prices. The location allows the avoidance of much of the Branson traffic. The room was clean and decorated well. The couple who own the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. They gave us directions to help cut out some of the Branson, Mo traffic which was a big help. Pleasant, quiet, comfortable. The fact that the vending machine did not accept dollar bills. Wished I had a fridge and microwave in the room. There is a microwave in the ice/vending area. The beds were very hard to sleep on. We woke up with kind of a sore back. Nothing really, but I could tell is wasn't built for the breakfast that most motels have now. But the Donuts and Coffee were great. No refridge in the room. right on hwy little noisy. That we didn't stay two nights!. The beds were a bit hard. The rules was a litte to strcked.
