Staff was very friendly. Very clean but online pics make it look alot nicer/newer than it really is. Showed pictures of outside and inside pool but only had inside pool functioning. Showed pictures of restaurant when there only was a small area with a bar and a few tables. Very deceiving. Beds were comfortable. People were friendly. Did not use shuttle but heard it was easy to use. Actually like the Native American theme as it is unique from other mall area hotels. Just keep it consistent through out and never listen to the decorator who did the lobby redo again.
all reviews » We were there for an anime convention - loud teens/young adults running around being crazy about Japanese pop culture/animation/music etc, and they were great and tolerant. One staff member even had Pokemon pins on behind the desk!. Very good basic room with needed facilities. Clean and comfortable. Frequent shuttle service to the Mall of America and the airport were excellent service and main reason for booking!. They've done an excellent job renovating the old Thunder Bird Motel into a contemporary Ramada Inn. The staff were great and the rooms were clean. Hotel Shuttle, convenience of eating dinner at the hotel, fitness facilities, price. Very nice big pool & clean beds, restaurant right there! Ice cream machines!. Huge hotel with great prices! Fire the decorator. Also toilet and shower enclosures are crazy small. Spend money on improving that area as well as installing another elevator near rooms at far end from lobby. Projector in Cherokee room lamp was very dark and hard to see slides. House keeping showed up at 9 am and knocked on our door until we all woke up on Saturday morning. Tiny bathroom compared to the general size of the room. We paid $9 for breakfast and it should have been free with the room as it wasn't worth $9. There's a lot of noise from the airport traffic, especially in the early mornings. I guess that can't be helped because of the location. Long walk from our far end room to the front desk. The food at the inside restaurant was awful! We had dinner there one night and the pizza was worse than a frozen pizza!. lots of people noise after midnight. Blonde woman very rude I was there for 4 days and she set my key card for one day and I was locked out of my room. I had to wait 15 minutes to get my key reset by her. Floor felt greasy and sticky. ppPoor TV selections mostly news and sports neither which I like especially on vacation. Rooms dark and gloomy. Close to airport, so if you like the sounds of a 747 at 6 AM, this is your place !. thin walls, felt like we could hear a lot of action from hall and other rooms. Every thing else was Ok, except there were no coin laundry to dry your wet cloths from the pools. there were not enough choices on breakfast. I didn't like them holding out $30.00 a nite because I used a debit card. I didn't know about this until the second nite. Wifi was almost impossible to connect. Vending machines were scarce and product was very limited. Asked for non-smoking but were put in smoking room. Old part of hotel needs updating. all was good. Staff not so kind. For the price of the room--no frig,no microwave,coffee very limited. We were a couple,staying in a room with capacity for 4 people. We were only allowed 2 regular coffee,2 decaf coffee. What if 4 people stayed in that room??? For the price,we could have gone about 1 or 2 miles down the road,had a frig,microwave,coffee 24/7 and free breakfast. Your breakfast was 8..99 or 9.99 a person. Needs to be updated - no refridg. Or microwave in room - air conditioning was not cool enough - no complimentary breakfast. We came in a day early and checked in but the rate was outrages and it was 3 am and the room was terrible to say the least. Beds are very old & sunken to one side. The rooms are small with no refrigerator. I would book a bigger room next time. I was surprised that the breakfast was not included. Did not like the nickel diming of ammenities like charging for a microwave and fridge and all so not having breakfast included most hotels we stay at include the above. Old, rooms well used and in need of remodle rooms outdated, bathroom too small. The shoe print on my bed, the hot air that blew out of the vent when the a/c was on, the size of the bathroom, the lack of signage displaying when shuttles leave to the mall, no continental breakfast, was not made aware that there would be a $60 deposit if I were paying cash for the rooms (especially when I called twice to confirm the exact total because I was paying by cash). Lighting in the rooms were dark, and the bathroom only had shower no bath. no fine dining. The internet did not work at all and was not secure, so I could not get any work done. There were only 6-8 T.V. channels available and not kid friendly. Very disappointing when looking forward to vegging out after a busy day out. The walls were paper thin, the people next door were partying late, and we could hear everything. Not a good night. Also, the bathroom was totally laughable. We had a shower, in a tub that was built for a midget. Really? Also, the "bar that serves a full menu" is a very limited menu, and not very good. Parking was horrible. The pool did not have enough tables or chairs to sit around the pool area. No continental breakfast in the a.m. for that price. Room was very small. decor small bathrooms cost for size. My car was keyed within 15-20 minutes of checking into the hotel. I was very disappointed that people are that disrespectful. I forgot some valuable personal belongings behind and was told I would get a call back about how to retrieve these items, but am still waiting after I have called twice..... Unfriendly staff. Dirty halls, broken windows, Plus they charged my credit card twice. Still fighting to resolve the issue. The small bathroom. I was charged a higher rate then second 2 nights and felt tricked by your advertisement of a lower rate first 2 nights. Even though room was non smoking it smelled as if smokers had been in there at some point. Dirty carpet, outdated decor and a shower I would not allow even my dig to use. I felt like I was in a dungeon. Will not recommend to others. The cleaning staff was smoking pot and the room had bed bugs!.
