We were given a promotional invitation of $49 dollars for one night stay. When we got there we found out that it was not honored because we had booked our stay through letsbookhotel.com, we were not aware that it wasn't the casino's website or that we were going to have to pay full price to stay, $199. We drove two hours to get there and were looking forward to a nice time. Needless to say, we were not happy campers.
all reviews » The staff was awesome. The facility is gorgeous and promotes a relaxed atmosphere. We left our Sting concert tickets on our dining table, and the waitress and manager brought them to the hotel entry to find us and give them back! Amazing!. It was super clean, staff very friendly and help full. Loves the buffet in the restaurant and staff friendly and husband won money in the casino. The bedding was very soft clean and comfortable. Thank you for a good nights rest. We received a room upgrade with view of ocean without asking. Beautiful room and view within waking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Best bed we had on our entire trip!. The room was well-appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable. We stayed there because of the casino, which we enjoyed. Would definitely go back again. rooms are large, clean, beds are very comfortable. everything is so quite. staff are super friendly. even late at night great little grill. We drove two hours to get there and were looking forward to a nice time. Needless to say, we were not happy campers. Refrigerators are not in all rooms. Although they do not charge for one, you have to request it and then tip the guy who brings it to your room. nothing. We did not realize there were two completely separate elevators in the parking garage - one for the hotel and one for the casino. The signage/directions could be better. pretty much not much to dislike. Nothing... it was all wonderful... Price was steep for Bangor, Maine and for staying right in the Casino, where you are gambling. Only one restaruant in hotel, plus a snack bar ? No view to speak of from window. Please add turkey breast to your carving station - my husband enjoyed it the last time we were there and was disappointed not available......Thank You !!. VERY disappointed with the buffet dinner. Every thing was very bland. Rated Ok at best. Our staff person could not mix a drink correctly!!!. The buffet was bad. We were there @7pm, buffet was open until 9pm. There were food items that were never replenished and the countertops around the food was never cleaned up. We have worked in the food industry, and the appearance of the buffet area is key!. Minimal sound-proofing in the room. We were 3 doors away from the elevator and vending machines. We could hear every word said by other guests and every footstep from the elevator, down the hall and to their rooms, all night long. the loud flight attendents when we were checking in, no smokeing areas? no pool?. Were close to the ice machine room that was loud! The buffet was terrible and the casino staff was non-existant. Also I never ever played in a casino that took your money so fast with no return too at least let you have some fun!!! I never expect to win big but jeeeze at least keep me playing for over 20 minutes without sapping away all my cash like lightning! Id stay in the hotel again with a room further away from the ice room. But ill never eat there or play there again!!!. Very poor lighting in the bathroom...especially for a woman to put on makeup.You could install one brighter - adjustable light or a magnifier with a light mounted on a side wall. Everything was great. The restaurant buffet in the hotel was not that great, it looked like most of the food had been sitting out for a while. Was not too impressed. The food options were limited. I didnt enjoy the buffet the food was dried out when the buffet had just opened. I felt like the casino itself was small and all the games were outdated and old. no pool. No pool for the size of building & price paid. lack of a nice sit-down restaurant. Seems no matter how much one spends and how long one gambles, there are no wins, not even small wins. When casino was across street, the payout was much better. the loud music at night when in the room. Nothing!. price of rooms. buffet. Did not like all orange smelling soap and shampoo, did not like only 2 drinks per hour bar policy. did not like not being allowed to walk through casino with infant in stroller at nine at night and having to walk all the way around hotel to get to lobby through smoke filled garage,. You offer an airport shuttle but at Bangor most flights depart early from 6 AM - 8 AM and then arrive between 10 PM - 12 Midnight and your shuttle runs 7 AM - 11 PM so it basically is of no use to a majority of customers. Airport shuttle hours are not conducive to the flight hours at the airport - should review flight times and adjust shuttle schedule so it can be used with flight times. Hotel good / casino not enough black jack tables. Bedding to heavy hurt my toes. Room cold regardless what sat temp. at. Buffet dry cold and lacking and flies flying around salad bar. I did not like the noise from the trains at night that passed through very often. The price of the Take 2 was a bit steep. I also did not like that I had to pay for breakfast. I also thought that the room could have used a mini fridge. Location just a bit too far from the centre of Bangor. Room service arrived at 08:30 to clean the room and if you didn't let them do it then it didn't get done at all. Asked desk for late room service and still didn't get it. No fridge or microwave. the price of the room. the epic buffet was no less than disgusting. The vegetables at the salad bar were beyond wilted. Numerous casseroles were dry and crusted over. The ham was very dry, the pizza was literally dripping with grease. This is the second time we experience this poor quality. We will not be returning. The A/C in our room was not working and the room temperature was uncomfortable. Low water pressure in room Casino small, old machines. Beds not comfortable, matress shot air conditioning did not work well, kept room hot even when set to lowest level no window to open, no fresh air noise from room next to us kept us up all night. The room was 90 degrees. We had to call front desk twice to tell them the room was too hot to sleep in. It was furnished with an OLD AC unit. according to the maint. man. Rm 218. It stopped working again in middle of night and we woke up hot again. Glad we only stayed one night. Did not enjoy sleeping in sauna.
