The hotel was located very close to downtown; approximately 4.5 miles. It also isn't too far from the airport and Circuit of the Americas racetrack which is why we traveled to Austin in the first place. Airport was about 12 miles and racetrack about 16 miles or so. We also liked the breakfast in the morning which included eggs, ham, potatoes, and waffles. They also have a happy hour with free wine, beer, and cocktails Monday thru Thursday from 5:30pm-7pm.
all reviews » We were in Austin for the F1 race at the Circuit Of The Americas. The hotel was a 10 min bus ride from Downtown, cost $2 for an all-day pass that you could buy on the bus itself. The staff were very helpful with any questions we had. Our room was cleaned every day by very pleasent staff. The breakfast was very good too. We highly recommend this hotel. Complementry breakfast was basic but nice. Evening front of house staff were very friendly & welcoming. Evening drinks was a lovely touch. $12 cab to state capitol $15 to 4th and trinity perfect!. Went there for one night to see Paul McCartney. It was close to the location of the arena, and we were pleased with the room and cleanliness of the hotel. They had my reservation, which with such a busy weekend in Austin, I really expected that they wouldn't have it and would have overbooked. The staff cared about each of their customers and went out of their way to make their customers feel welcomed. Very easy to get to. Super friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again. Cabs were often low in arriving but this isn't the hotels fault!. I have to admit I was pleasantly suprised. Almost every review I read said that the elevator didn't work, so I expected it not to work. But, it was working...Great!!! The manager was a little rude to his employees. N/A. The room had a kind of musty smell. Perhaps from the air being turned to off but after we turned it on and got some circulation it was fine. N/A. The ac did not work properly. The rooms were small and the bathroom was really small. More oatmeal, yogurt, raisins, granola would be nice - more people are health conscious and vegetarians today It really isn't your fault, but the location of the hotel is very difficult to locate. 1St room I had had a loud noise coming from below the room so was transferred to another. The 2nd room ac was not working so was hard to sleep. Staff was friendly but did not offer discount or refund.
