Loved the Asian feeling of the hotel & the absolute comfort of my balcony king room. i may be odd, but I liked watch the city lights, traffic, etc. contrasted with calm courtyard area. My pillows were wonderful and the bed was comfortable. The bath was a delight & i loved the shower with its rainfall shower heads, too.Also, I kept my do not disturb sign on until late afternoon & 2 darling young ladies graciously came late in the day & swiftly did a great clean-up.
all reviews » The warm welcome, free parking, surprisingly large room which was as comfortable as anything costing three times as much. Solid English breakfast and easy to access from the Interstate. Just 5 minutes drive from the famous 6th Street and SoCo. The whole experience was great. The staff was friendly and helpful (especially Danielle at the front desk), the room service food was good, the pool and hot tub were clean, and the room was huge & very clean. We really enjoyed our stay!. I loved EVERYTHING about this hotel and my stay there. The king suite was amazing and the location was soo convienent and close to downtown! I would definitely stay again as a matter of fact EVERY time I visit Austin! Good job!. I like the location, the charm and the fact it was a very old hotel remodeled, which made it have character. The design was clean and modern. The shower/tub area was very unique and spacious. The bathroom is amazing! Rain shower and a large tub for a nice long bubble bath. The lighting sets a very romantic mood. It was equipped with 2 light dimmers over and beside the bed. the room decor was awesome, very stylish and different, no cookie cutter rooms, close to lots to do, and a nice bargain for what we go. will stay there again. The Room was clean and the access to the concert venue was perfect. (Location) I also loved the hot tub and would recommend to a friend for sure. The room was very nce and it was a good thing that we could regulate our own temperture. Beds comfortable and large enough. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. Nothing. The annoying automatic voice inside the lift - seriously, that's the only silly critic I have and I say that with a smile. There wasn't anything we didn't like. I would have to nit pick but I guess the hot tub could have been hotter buuut on the other hand the shower and tub made up for it the water got as hot as I wanted and stayed hot! Good job again!. The pillows! They were horrible. The location was a bit awkward because It's located on a fairly steep hill. The hotel is also located next to an apartment residence which makes it a bit uncomfortable at night because of dogs barking and residents hanging out. housekeeping seemed short staffed. The price was a little on the high side as I received a deal online and was then charged incorrectly. I had to bring this to the attention of the cashier after the fact. The glass wall from the bath to the bedroom. The pull down shade did not work very well. The breakfast was disappointing, no fruit and just sweet stuff. The receptionist did not seem to be having a banner day was curt and some what dismissive toward any requests. I could hear cleanings ladys in the morning in other rooms. Either they are very loud or walls are thin. Room smelled like cologne. Room design was a little weird with a large window between the bathroom and bedroom(it did have a roller shade). Can't think of anything that was less than excellent. pool not so nice, room smelled not so nice. Not very bad, just not so nice. Slimy water. Fake creamer for coffee. Location was a little difficult to get to. Price was a little too high. Bad cable channels and no pay fro view movies. Room service was not available as described in hotel information, because they didn't have many guests. Bar was not stocked as was described in hotel information. Red wine was served cold from a bar refrigerator. Road noise, TV reception poor, very soft water, very low water pressure. Grossly overpriced for location, amenities. We had many problems on the second day of our visit. Every time I talked to the front desk all they could say was" we have only been open 2 years and we are still learning ". Poor service !. It really needs a deep clean - the public areas were not on par with the rooms; the breakfast offering was weak; the business center, wasn'T...computer not working; the location is 'iffy' with parking concerns; generally convenient location, however. The room I checked into was dirty . Looked like someone ran across the bed . The cushion was missing from the chase lounge and the toilet was loose from the from floor. The owner of the property parked in the red in front of the building the whole time I was there. I asked about it. The staff said , he always parks there. The continental free breakfast was mediocre. You had to pay extra to get eggs. Urine on toilet seat. Cockroach infestation. Lamp broken. Room in poor repair. Guest services did nothing.
