The hotel is conveniently located. We could walk all over campus as well as downtown, Ann Arbor. We had a great breakfast in the restaurant and drinks in the charming bar, before heading out to dinner. The staff was very accommodating and the beds were very comfortable. Friendly staff; quick check-in. Small requests like asking for the previous day's newspaper complied with even though it was late. Fast wifi. Nice medium-spacious room on the top (15th Floor) with a good view.

So it was convenient. Near lively downtown Ann Arbor, large parking lot. A little pricey for a 3* Hotel but our objective was to be as close to the University of Michigan as possible. There was no pool or spa area. The lobby area was well worn ( frayed sofas, dingy window dressings, etc.) More than anything though was the cost of staying there. We understand the monopoly the establishment has with its location-but the cost of two nights was high considering the amenities. There were no significant negatives, although nothing stood out as being exceptional either. We had to valet our car offsite, and we were given the wrong set of room keys, which were minor inconveniences. Wireless was unreliable and since we had tablets, the "ethernet cable" workaround did not work for us; no fan in restroom. Reservations lock-out some months in advance due to the football game - only managed one night this time (Wednesday 4 Oct) compared with 2 last year and normally the 3 I need. Necessitated hotel switch after just 1 night !. Noise from air conditioners. - Curtains are tainted - Too old an elevator... Would have liked robes in the rooms. I brought my UM student and my family there for dinner and for some reason it took an unusually long time before we finally got it. We came there for a place for my daughter who was working at a Relay for Life Event to relax, warm up and eat before she had to go back outside. The waiter was apologetic for the wait and when the food arrived it was very good!! All turned out well in the end. :). Nothing. Would have liked a coffee pot in room. When we arrived they had no record of the booking through letsbookhotel.com. Luckily I had a copy of the paperwork. REALLY small bathroom. Limited time of bar restraunt opening. Bed was too soft and lumpy. Room was not ready at 1pm which was fine but then check out was at 11AM which seemed early to us. Nothing in the frig. We have options in other hotels. Nothing really, bathroom small; room cost on high side. tired decor, old bedspread. The bar wasn't open on Saturday at cocktail hour. No breakfast service or even hot coffee. Expensive and a little outdated. Too much formal. They are not prepared to deal with foreign credit cards (visa). The rooms were not great. The beds were uncomfortable and the bathrooms were tiny and very worn. Expensive roomrate, no coffee machine or minibar on room, looks old fashioned. Room smelled rather musty.
