We go to The Ford and Greenfield Village several times a year. This hotel has a shuttle to both and the airport. It is clean, comfortable and the staff are always very nice and helpful. A lot of work has gone into updating it, but also keeping it's charm. Wait staff: Mary in the bar and all the servers in the restaurant were exceptional. Amenities: The room was clean and I lived the TV in the bathroom...it allowed me to see news and weather while getting ready for the day.
all reviews » Warm, friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed the gazebos and outside courtyard. Very convenient to the Henry Ford. Very nice restaurant and lounge. The beds were very comfortable. The staff were VERY helpful and kind. We were there for a funeral. Jessica(?) was especially nice. I liked the look of the outside and the security. I also liked the restaurant and staff. There were things to do there as well. Staff was very impressive, responsive, courteous and knowledgeable one of the best I have encountered. It was close to everything that we wanted to do. Also, Teddy, my dog, was welcome to stay there too. Breakfast, cleanliness, shuttle bus to Henry Ford Museum, ambiance for Christmas holiday. Very clean with a very nice convenient restaurant and bar and friendly employees. Everything was great. The staff were helpful and very polite. location, pool and hot tub. Warm caring staff. Courteous staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Very nice staff in restaurant, close to Ford. Furnishings: Closet rack hangers hard to use...too little clearance Front desk staff: Often not at post, leave phones to ring for long periods of time. Room was small, could have better lighting. Bathroom very small. Only thing I missed was the lighting in the bathroom is hard to do your makeup with. Difficult to answer the first two questions because it was my sister and I there for a funeral. So, not "leisure" and not a couple.... I did not like the travel time back and forth to the location we went back and forth to. The hotel was rather hidden and difficult to navigate to. Also, some things needed updated. It sort of smelled like smoke. There was an extra charge on my credit card too. Bugs! in a common area and my bathroom. There was a slight problem with plumbing. The vent in the bathroom was very noisy. Being that we were retired seniors a better discount for the whole 4 days would have been appreciated. There was nothing that I did not like. Swimming pool was cold. Candy wrappers floating in pool and hot tub. Kids at pool being rude, putting ice in the hot tub. We weren't asked how our stay was when we checked out. I am not sure if the bedlinen were changed before I came... at least they looked poorly. The towels in the bathroom did not have a fresh smell either.
