I had a great time at the hotel and can warmly recommend it to anyone. The staff was very friendly and good value for money. I read that people complained about this hotel but I have stayed half of my life in 5 star hotels but in my opinion this hotel offers all you need to stasy for a very good priv´ce and has an excellent location. I will be back. Good value and location for your money. Hotel is a bit "soviet" but renovated some 10 years ago and looks very acceptable taking in consideration high prices for hotels in center of Kiev. Try it instead of rental apartments and in most of cases you will be pleasantly surprised.
all reviews » Staff are very friendly and also very helpful, the rooms were very clean, the hotel was only 15-20 minutes walk from the city centre and only 10 minutes walk from the station. Very close to the Ukraine shopping centre and the circus both just a couple of minutes walk away. I like that Hotel is situated close to railwaystation, and not far away from center of Kiev. It is only 8*10 minutes with bus 230 to the center. Bus-stop is 150 meter away from hotel-entrance. It is also very close to shopping-center "Ukraina". The Hotel is in a very nice and practical location. The rooms are very comfortable and quite. It provides 24 hour service and the staff is really kind, very friendly, available and helpful. The food they serve is excellent. Panoramic window with view towards city centre - amazing to watch a thunderstorm crossing Kiev. Lots of transport links to city centre, Central train station and Metro 5 minutes walk. Security staff friendly and supportive. very comfortable location, the hotel is very clean, the stuff is very polite, everything was excellent...and all these for a good price. We changed room to the 17th floor and the bed was better - yet still not very comfortable. They should be changed for something new(er). A bit expensive. Parking costs 7 euro a day. Buffet breakfast costs 11 euro / pers. Gloomy lobby, annoying taxi drivers. We have prorolonged our stay with 4 hours because of snow fall in Kiev. The prolongation was too expensive. price increase at weekend. Old TV-set in the suite. traces from cigarettes. bad Internet connection, very law and sometimes not working. furniture and equipment is not new. * too small bathroom * a bit noisy with opened window. Cigarette smell in the room. we have stayed in Lybid hotel twice now, we like the hotel, but on both occasion's the air Cond does not have cool, just stays at an uncomfortable sleeping level. Expensive hotel car parking, which is not included in the room fee. Breakfast was poor. Sovjet Style, downstairs is a pleasure bar, we would definitly not recommand this for families travelling with kids, metro is 15 minutes walk away, noisy airco.
