I can definitely recommend staying in hotel Bratislava. First of all its price/performance ratio is definitely reasonable. I had a superior room at the 10-th floor (with photos from Prague decorating the corridor :-) and I can say anything against it. Even a water pressure was excellent in the shower. The hotel is located in a suburb part of Kiev, but it is a 5 mins. Walk to the metro station Darnytsia. It takes about 15-20 mins to get to the centre of the town for 2UAH-token. In the vicinity o.
all reviews » Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Superior single room (4 nights) was generally kept clean and was quiet at night.There was a small fridge in the room and a safe. On the whole great value for money. WiFi worked great everywhere in the hotel and was fast enough to stream uk tv without a problem. Access to the city centre was easy (15 mins) via the extremely cheap Metro located about 100m over the road. Restaurant staff were fantastic and the food was delicious. I tried the Beetro. There is a Metro Station very near; the breakfast buffet is good and had variety; the staff speaks English; there's a 24h opened bar at the lobby; is not far neither for the AirPort (Borispyl) 230UAH, neither for the City Center 70UAH by taxi no official. Metro is very good and fast, and very cheap (2UAH). I recommend it! A good relation price/quality. Service in the Lobby was excellent, the ladies at the frontdesk always had a pretty big smile. Their service was instant with friendliness. This was as well in the restaurant as the Non Stop the lobby bar. The Piano player certainly added a touch with dinner and the security was great ! The location is ok for those who are interested in taking cure at the city heart center - its about 3 km.from the hotel, besides, the metro is near by. Very close to Darnitsia Metro Station. It takes only 10 minutes to get to the Main Square in Kiev. Comfortable room and very good facilities. Clean, fresh feeling, warm, cozy, wireless was very good in my room. We chose to spend 50-70 UAH for a rich breakfast for 2 persons in Chelentano pizzeria nearby. Building of the hotel is cold and too big, it is like old soviet union times. Nothing really. the breakfast could be a bit more lavish, the eggs were undercooked which gave me the runs twice.... No fridge in a room Expensive breakfasts. No refrigerator and minibar in standart room No changing towels Wery expensive and monotonous breakfasts. Hotel's lobby is under reconstruction and there are no clear directions on where to enter, a few signs would help. Breakfast. Very unusual for western visitors. Fried eggs on buffet beside plain spaghetti, boiled potatoes and chicken broth. A little bit more menus in English. The only complaint is that the shampoo bag wasn't perforated. It took some minutes to open it. Nothing. Although reception staff were generally polite, communication was difficult at times. Breakfast was not so great, thank goodness for McDonalds down the street. light in room at morning when sliping. Breakfast is very expensive for what is served. Not worth the money. In Europe the maximum cost 3-4 euros. Plateaus were filled very late, maybe you don`t need any more. I had to get up early to find food on all plateaus or fruits.My advice: do not buy breakfast. One thing I have not met in any hotel. I had to pay all on arrival, usually, anywhere in the world, I paid at check-out. A little bit cold in the room, when it's windy and cold outside. slow service at meal times. Room in 12 and half level. 1) Nuisance parking guys. Please sync an info about payments for car parking between desk and parking service. 2) Taxi driver overcharged me by 20 UAH telling that this is for desk girls for "taxi calling". 3) Tablecloths in restaurant were very dirty so it was hard to enjoy dinner. I did not like the gym. Old equipment. At first glance, the area around the hotel looks a little grim. It turned out to be okay though.
