The hotel is set in very nice surroundings, very conveinant for the motorway, the room was clean, in fact what it say's about itself is fact. The staff and management was completely helpful, with the messed up booking from LetsBookHotel.com. It was nicely different from the run of the mill establishments. Very cosy. Friendly,helpful staff, large comfortable room.

Just a nice size to give persoanl service with the necessary facilities and excellent price. On route from Yorkshire to Reading.Staff very helpful in restaurant. Breakfast cooked to order. Comfortable bed and very clean room and bathroom. Friday night dinner in the Glasshouse Restaurant was excellent. The restaurant - though offering some good and well-cooked food - is over-priced.Some of the reception staff (lack of explanation and general attitude). My bathroom taps required some maintenance which I have reported to reception. Room a trifle too small.The room we stayed in was in need of some decoration and we could not get the shower to work. Locking mechanism for the door was poor and therefore felt that security was not regarded highly. As a business man, carrying laptops etc. this is a consideration. Key to room was very basic. Door did not appear to close securely. Bathroom facilities were new but looked as though they had been poorly fitted.Some cobwebs in room. the beds were far too soft, pillows were flat and bedding was only a sheet and blanket on the bed, not very comfortable.Being awakened by the fire alarm going off very early in morning, of which there was no explanation or apology. we arrived from work at 7pm for a florist event, once it had finished at 10pm there wasn't any food available, only two packets of crisps or some funnyb nuts!. Bedroom needs updating. A better lounge area. used executive room, poor standard for the price. needs a re-vamp. leaking taps. windows tight to use, could only open one wardrobe door because a bed side table was there.tv remote had no back on.cigarette butt left on stairs for all the two days we were there. no valance sheet on the bed, so you could see the two halves of the make up of the bed. not a executive sight.Very very soft and uncomfortable bed, if we had stayed at the premier inn we would have got our money back !!!! Slow and poor service during evening meal, caos during breakfast, not enough seats for everyone, only scrambled egg, no choice. The room was in real need of refurbishment. the bathroom was tiny and tatty. Bed was uncomfortable. The room did not resemble anything on their website. Everything else. This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
