Both dinner and particularly breakfast were piping hot and served straight from the kitchen to my table; A rare occurance these days with the advent of buffet breakfast and heat lamps!. Please note as well: Room Service was wrong - No bread roll with themoules as stated, 1 tea bag in a pot of tea! Awful! No butter or sugar,wrong cutlery also. When checking out porter could not do my billcorrectly.Excellent food in the restaurant. The Nigel Mansell insignia's were extremely naff and spoilt the overall effect.I wasn't aware of the connection when booking the hotel. The wireless connection in my room was too weak. Room was too hot.Our room was just off reception with a smoking point potside. This could be noisy and I would imagine quite a nuisance if there was a late night function going on. Breakfast should be self-service (waitered service takes too long). The beds were very firm. Changing area in the swimming pool looking in need of a refurbishment, facilities were all operational.Reception and check in - check out, always seems to take a long time. The restaurant and bar are a bit impersonal. We thought the breakfast was poor. The food from the buffet was luke warm, there was an overlong wait for eggs and generally very slow service. This was disappointing after the rest was so good and efficient. breakfast deadline of 9.30hrs too early on a sunday - no trouser press. Evening meal was disappointing. I wanted to book for the restaurant but it was already full at 6pm . so I had to order a room service which was out of price. £5 charge.the food are expensive and really good!!! disappointing. The pillows are horrible! Old! You would do well to offer a 'pillowmenu' I like many people these days have spinal problems which includeneck pain, hard pillows, in my case cause migraine headaches, in other ahard pillow may be ok, so a pillow menu to suit your guests is a normalchoice these days. (Even the 'Holiday Inn' chain offer this!) I did notsleep well sadly due to rock hard pillows.Not enough signposts to show the way to the hotel. Air condition way too cold in the restaurant. Total lack of charm and atmosphere in the dining area.
