hotel staff - the restaurant and pub -in the same building - the warm of the hotel. Clean, refurbished, friendly and helpful staff, nice atmosphere, value for money.Hotel with charm and character. Traditional period features with a modern flavour. Food was excellent. The best thing about The Talbot was definitely the restaurant food. It was NOT cheap but it was of an extremely high standard. It has been refurbished recently and the staff were working very hard to establish a good rapport with the customers. It was also very busy (last weekend in January in an economic downturn, can't be bad).
