Apart from the beautiful surroundings and the hotel itself, the thing that impressed me the most at the Oakley hotel, was the attitude of the staff. I was impressed by their friendliness and their eagerness to please, and just their general attitude to do what they could, to make our stay and relaxing and pleasant one. The ease of everything and the staff they were wonderful - breakfast busy but unlike most hotels where they leave you in a queue they offered coffee and a seat in the lounge area and collected you when a table was ready - well done! Food was excellent at dinner.

Goodfacilities, excellent staff and a reasonable location. Great setting, nice spacious room overlooking the gardens and easy access to windsor - the hotel used a really good value taxi firm..The relaxing atmospher, the stunning location, the fabulous breakfast buffet, and the very polite and friendly staff. The staff were very friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Their manager should be very proud of them.Efficiently run hotel, all staff seem very happy and good communicators. Although the hotel was busy with weddings and other meetings, there was no sense of being overcrowded, and there was no noise.Hotel setting on the river, nice ambience, great rooms and service. Restaurant menu, not enough choice of dishes.well both myself and girlfriend had dinner at the restruant,, crab cake starters and lamb... unfortuatly we were both very ill the next day .. thankfully that has passed!!. We loved this hotel - but they stated dress code for dinner but it wasnt applied and the outside terrace area was large enough to cater for smoking and non-smoking instead of having to stand 5 feet away near an ashtray.Have had a greater choice of breakfast items. It was too busy, crowded and noisy. Not the relaxing enjoyable sunday morning start I was looking for. Spoilt an otherwise enjoyable stay. yes,we had two young kids and our door was right beside the firedoor which we found the opening a lot during the night broke our sleep plus we were right across from housekeeping door and it started very early which woke us up too early after bad nights sleep.breakfast service a little slow and would have preferred individual tea and coffee pots on the table. Pillows were very uncomfortable. Restaurant far too expensive and only offered a fixed 3 course menu.A little more attention to woodwork in rooms. Our furniture looked like it needed a good sandback and revarnish, but still delightful. There were a number of different buildings which were not attached to the main building. As a result guests had to walk outside in order to go for meals. Fine if it was dry.No smoking coffee tables out of the hotel - no lifts inside hotel !. Service in the bar/lounge area could be better.It was further away from Windsor than stated on website and not reallywithin easy walking distance. Not enough lighting in the bathroom.It is rather expensive but this did not detract from the stay. We were in an annex and had to walk across a car park to get to the main hotel - it was really raining! I prefer to be in the main hotel.Evening meal in the bar extremely poor - poor choice and poor meal - I would have stayed another 2 nights if this had been different. Too many weddings, and music went on until 2.0.clock pm and when you our paying £190.00 per night this was not funny, we understand that weddings and parties happen but until 2.0.clock in the morning and all you can hear in your room is boom boom boom, not funny, we have made a complaint to the hotel and yes they gave us a £50.00 discount which was very good of them, but i think this needs to be i. Lack of children's menu and do not cater a lot for vegetarians. They need to install good quality double/triple glazing to bedrooms.

The Oakleaf Restaurant holds an AA Rosette award and offers fine dining with a modern European flavour, particularly French influences. All dishes are prepared using the finest local ingredients, where possible.
A dress code applies and booking is recommended.

The sitting room, the drawing room and the library are the perfect rooms to take some time for yourself. Each retains own historic features like ornamental ceilings, wood-panelled floors and sash windows. A lounge menu and afternoon tea can be taken in any of these rooms.

Oakley Court is set back from the A308 between Windsor and Maidenhead.

London/Heathrow to Oakley Court:
Exit Junction 6 of the M4. Follow the dual carriageway towards Windsor. Turn left as if going to Windsor, but at the roundabout below the dual carriageway, turn right onto the A308 towards Maidenhead. Keep going past Windsor Racecourse and the hotel is approximately 2 miles on the right hand side of the road.

Reading to Oakley Court:
Exit Junction 8/9 of the M4. Follow the signs for Maidenhead Central (A308M). At the roundabout, follow the signs for the A308 Windsor. The hotel is approximately 2 miles on the left hand side of the road.

M40 to Oakley Court:
Exit Junction 4 of the M40 and take the A404 towards Maidenhead. Keep going until you reach the M4 Junction 8/9 roundabout. Then follow 'Reading to Oakley Court' directions.
