  Fantastic environment for a family trip to marwell zoo! We loved theattention to detail in the hotel and rooms even down to the animal printmugs and penguin biscuits!   I dont think the location could be any better, its right outside the gates to winchester cathedral. our room was almost stately, with a beautiful (yet very unpractical) roll-top bath... the shower was huge and one of the best I've used, but the surround curtain and the bath design meant that the floor pretty soon got flooded. It was very nicely appointed. It was close to the cathedral and the center of town. There were nice shops and sightseeing areas nearby. The staff was quite friendly and the pub had really good food and drinks. The stairwell and hallways were kind of like a tiny maze but we found that to be charming.

  This hotel is beautiful. It is extreamily well presented and by far the best hotel I have stayed in. There is a gorgeous log fire as you enter the reception. The room was more like an apartment and had a fabulous spar bath and more charactor then you can imagine. I would recomend this hotel to everyone as it is perfect. I was concerned about noise prior to arrival as the accommodation is above a pub, there was no noise therefore a peaceful sleep was had by all.   I cannot fault my stay at Flowerdews Bed & Breakfast. The owners could not have been more accomodating, friendly nor welcoming. The accomodation and facilities were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. What had the potential to be a stressful business trip to Winchester was transformed into a pleasant visit due to my brief stay at Flowerde... what people say » ws. I would not stay anywhere else should I ever need to return to Winchester in the future and highly recommend Flowerdews B & B. - Liz was very welcoming, friendly and helped us with directions to where we were going on two occasions. Room was well appointed and Flowerdews is in walking distance of Winchester where we were meeting friends. Breakfast was excellent and other guests were obviously cheerful and happy in their surroundings. A great stay - would repeat this and stay a little longer!

  The staff were very freindly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. Good location on the edge of the city and within easy walking distance of the shops, pubs, restaurants and other attractions. We only had breakfast here but it was very good. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to spend a short break in Winchester. - Hele... what people say » n was simply amazing. A very small hotel with friendly staff. Even though no lift, we got help with our heavy suitcases. Food was nice. The room was really good. Walking distance to the shops. A shame I didn't get the name of the other manager or other members of staff on duty cos they were all really nice.

  All the staff we came into contact with were curteous, friendly and helpful. The Hotel and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice of food. Ample parking. Handy for Winchester. Though there were Christmas Parties being held in the hotel function rooms there was no noise intrusion. The hotel had a nice relaxed quiet atmos... what people say » phere. Were we to return to the area we would definitely consider revisiting this hotel again. - Decor light and airy, spaciousness, restaurant excellent, beds very comfy. Breakfast good though a little disjointed in selection, no continuity, eggs ordered separately and delivered to table before we had finished our cereals.Lovely hotel, good parking and peaceful.
