The friendliness of staff, the efficiency of service and the general facilities. Seeing as I only spent a couple of hours in the hotel I can,t really comment .good suburban location, but on the fringe of the countryside. Staff very freiendly, rooms very nice and clean.The hotel staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. 10 out of 10.

These let the place down as did someother fittings such as curtains in our room.£5 for one hour connection is too steep. we stayed at a time when there were late night parties and the noise level in the family room (situated just above the function room) was very high. the bath rooms need to be updated. The fold out bed was very uncomfortable, other than that it was a plesent stay. I was charged for breakfast when I did not in fact have any. I did not notice this fact until looking at the account at home. room 20 decor was a bit tired bathroom seals aroung bath needed cleaning. As my room was located close to a busy road, a bit more noise insulation would have been nice. Next time I would request a room at the rear. Price of drink is a bit steep! Had to walk to another pub nearby.Quality of the bathroom facilities was fair. Stayed in older wing of hotel. Very old, sagging, uncomfortable bed, shower went very hot / cold, Toilet didn't flush properly. Bad noise between rooms - heard every conversation of room next door incl. toilet etc...No modem wires available in room - not many people carry theirs round now. Location of internet access in reception - no privacy. Expensive Breakfast. The rooms seeme very dark and in need of decorating. The rundown appearance, threadbare carpets, tiny and almost useless radiator, chipped bath and really inadequate bed cover (quilt? duvet? ). Even with the blanket from the wardrobe, in the end I had to fully dress to be warm enough to sleep. Fire escape and room direction signs very confusing. Booked a double room but it was more like a single, very small. The bed was very small and not suitable for the larger person. No hot water in the morning. It was a rabbit warren - I kept getting lost trying to find reception. Also it was very hot, even during the night and so caused a bit of discomfort.Bit tatty, needs a good refurb and decoration. My girlfriend had a rash after staying in the hotel. Doctor assumes she got it from the bed or cleanliness of the room.There was no hot water for the duration of my stay, the room felt damp and was quite misserable in its feel. this could have been due to it poor lighting which made it feel dark and gloomy. Its saving grace was a good breakfast. Not particularly clean, old tired furnishings, needs refurbishing. the room we was put in was really small, and felt uncomfortable there wasnt any room. very poorly organised from the start - run like fawlty towers!. This is a run down hotel where the staff do not seem to take any pride in it. Especially the manager. Late wakeup call, terrible breakfast. Yes. To be honest most of the hotel. We knew we where getting a bargin at £49 but the hotel is honestly really rough. We are only a young couple and have back packed plenty of countries and i have to say this is one of the worst hotels for the money. I would be happy to answer more questions on this hotel in detail. Had to pay for breakfast even tho had already payed for it , and alsopoor selection of alcohol at the hotel bar 1 as a lot of the pumps wereout of stock.
