Really comfortable family run hotel, room spacious and clean. Food was great for breakfast and evening meal and reasonably priced. Ideal hotel to stay if travelling around North Scotland or going to Orkney as close to ferry terminals.Staff welcoming and helpful.Would definitely stay again. Close to town centre. Bed very comfortable.well cooked scottish breakfast served with a smile!did not need to eat again til teatime .very quiet ! woken from a refreshing sleep by a dawn chorus of birdsong.quick entry from high street via passage beside post office pointed out by landlady!.

Location is perfect for the town centre just minutes away and the airport 5 minute drive from hotel. Definitely would stay here again had an enjoyable break. The warm welcome and friendly atmosphere from the Whole Family running the hotel. The landlady was extremely helpful in helping to solve and get local contacts in job-related questions - and seemed to enjoy it! And the beautiful garden. Staff is very friendly and nearly everyone we met looks happy. The dog, Jess, is always friendly and warm as well. Location is good, near the rail and bus stops. The dinner we had was wonderfully delicious. Staff was great. Restaurant/bar was good, with wide selections. Could definitely see upgrades in the guest rooms, especially bathrooms. Convenient stop-over if wanting to catch the ferry to Orkney. Clean en-suite room with flat screen tv. Tasty cooked breakfast in the morning with coffe, toast and croissant. Friendly, helpful staff. Spoken to other people who have had the same experience with other hotels. Don't rely on letsbookhotel.com. Nothing. Nothing. Wick is out of the way but staying at this hotel was ideal for catching the ferry to the Orkneys!. Shower was not to good. nothing. unable to sleep on Friday night to much noise from the bar below and after that from outside the hotel i think the last person to come home in the houses around the hotel was about 5 30. as we had a drive of about 7 hours on Saturday this was not very good. Hotel claimed they didn't know we were bringing our 14 year old son even though we had stated it on our initial booking. They had confirmed it via e mail and had provided an extra bed. As a result they charged us £20 extra! Saying they didn't know about our son and didn't allow for him in the original price quote!. Rather old-fashioned hotel with awkward stairs to room. The guests' lounge on the first floor was small and uninviting, so we didn't use it. Wick is a bit of a culinary desert - the best place to eat was the Wetherspoon pub, which was fine but predictable. Range of food at dinner somewhat limited. Surprised that no battered fish was available based on location.
