What a find Stayed for one night would have liked to stay more Stuart and his team could not have been more obliging ,helpful and friendly. Everything that was requested prior to our visit----early check in,--- taxi,--- was all done no quibble ---with a smile and a no problem Our room classed as standard what an understatement.we have stayed at hotels in so call luxurious room /suites no where as good as the Black Swan Food--- first class dinner excellent as was breakfast and both cooked to.
all reviews » Everything. Staff attentive but not intrusive, customer care was second to none from all levels. Stuart & Suzi demonstrated the desire to ensure all aspects of our needs were met during our stay. The room was 10/10 and the location of the hotel lovely. The menu was varied and affordable whilst maintaining a good selection of choice. We left, wishing that we had a hotel like The Black Swan close to where we live, but because we don't we will be back soon. Highly recommended. Pat & Bill. Thought this place was a real gem! Fantastically clean and really good sized rooms which were as good as any top range hotel. Found this place at relatively short notice and feel it was really fantastic value for money and I'm sure could demand more if located closer to amenities. We ate in the Orangery in the evening and thought the menu was varied, interesting and good value, as well as being very good quality. Will certainly be looking for an opportunity to come here again. I absolutely adored this inn. We stayed there for our trip to Manchester. The building was lovely and there was plenty of parking. The staff was really helpful and friendly. It also has a pub-restaurant and when we got there it had a great atmosphere, very cheerful. The breakfast was really nice as well. The room had a HUGE bed, and everything was new. The bathroom was pretty stylish and modern. We really enjoyed our stay, and we would come again. Suzi and Stuart are unbelievable managers of the hotel and make you feel like you're a valued guest and have an extremely warm and welcoming approach.. They also shared our sense of humour which is always a bonus hehe.... All the staff were spot on to be honest and the hotel itself was fantastic! We were shopping at the trafford centre and although a little further than expected it was an easy straightforward drive. So nice to get back to the hotel and not have to leave the premises and yet get everything expected and more. Really high quality accommodation for rooms attached to a public house/restaurant. Excellent standard of fittings and fixtures. Friendly and efficient staff, great food choices and terrific quality dishes. Close to both Liverpool and Manchester for those like me who would normally stay in city centre. The Black Swan had everything that we needed for a overnight stay, rooms were very clean, beds were kingsize , good evening menu to choose from, also a good hearty breakfast to start your day. Enjoyed are overnight stay, we have booked again to stay in December. The Black Swan was a great find! The rooms were decorated to a very high standard. The staff were warm and inviting and very helpful. The food was great and it was a lovely location to meet friends and have a catch up. Great atmosphere. Attentive staff. Good food and drink. Room was particularly good for me as I am disabled. Location was great at just 5 or 6 miles from M6. Will definitely be back on our next trip to the deep south. Friendly manager and staff. The Black Swan was a large Pub with very clean luxury rooms upstairs. The staff were very attentive. The freshly cooked breakfast is the best I have had in a hotel. Nice modern rooms, clean and fairly spacious. There was a lot going on in the pub so you wouldn't need to leave if you didn't want to. Food was excellent. Amazing Place to stay. Water not very hot in the evening, but fine the following morning. Not even really a problem to be fair!. Having a pub downstairs we were worried about the noise, but It was well isolated. Nevertheless although the isolation on the floor was excellent, the one of the walls wasn't so great, and you could hear the water running of the bathroom from the room next to ours. We could also hear some kind of annoying sound coming from outside as we had a sort of generator or solar plaques right out of our windows. I think its a really nice place but they should sort out the noise problem. My wife likes a bath and the water was not hot enough so we had to boil the kettle a few times to reach the temperature required. We were there on a Saturday night and my room was directly over the bar area where there was live music.This went on 'till 12:00 so was a little noisy if you want an early night!. Not a lot. It was a bit warm. Room was a little warm even with windows open and unfortunately no A/C or fan. Very Busy. Noise on Friday but got upgraded for our Saturday night this more than compensated us, so very happy. absolutely nothing!!!. Just a small thing...the ensuite door was noisy, especially noticeable in the middle of the night. No reception. Not clear on check in and out procedures. Wifi did not work. There was nothing to dislike. We were above the kitchen who played 'clubbing' music quite loud until 11pm which wasn't the most relaxing atmosphere. Also pub closes at 12.30am so don't stay here if you want to go to bed before then. Leaving. No chopped fresh fruit at breakfast but otherwise breakfast was fine. No negative comments. Nothing. Nothing to dislike!. Nothing - will return & already recommended it to family members. Being woken early by workmen mowing the grass and constructing a wooden gazebo before 8 am! Quiet night, rude awakening. We were there on a Friday night and my room was directly over the bar area where there was live music. This went on 'till 12:00 so was a little noisy if you want an early night!. nothing. nothing. Nothing to dislike. No parking in the car park, but free parking in the side streets, so not a big deal really. Nothing really. Nothing. Nothing. not many comfy chairs. WiFi was a real pain to log on and use.
