The rooms, the greeting from the staff when we arrived, the food and the breakfast. We stayed in the old hall and the views over the lake were out of this world. Grounds and setting. the room was fantastic.. very clean and comfortable..food was lovely.excellant room views stunning. location. our room in Walton Hall had lovely views over the lake and golf course, and from the hotel we walked for several miles to beauty spots. Also drove to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park which over several hours to see and was well worth a visit. We also dined in the golf club Italian restaurant a few minutes away which had a great choice and atmosphere. The room was lovely. I liked everything. Wiush I had taken my golf clubs though!. four poster bed!. No late checkout allowed and would have been a charge if it were. Leisure facilities could have been better. the breakfast was cold. The shower in the room didn't turn off properly and leaked water allover the floor. No aircon in the room and no wind, hot/humid and I did not sleep well. couldn't see the television from the bed as too small and low down, poor selection of channels.
