chris and collen the owners were very freindly and could not do enough for you . the food was excellent the room was very comfortable and very clean the staff were very polite we plan onusing the hotel again next year or when our dive club go again if its befor next year.

Rooms were prone to noise travelling, so late night movers were noticable, and could bother some patrons...

Waiting to be served at breakfast, fruit juice and cereal should be self serve.
little things that dont mean much but together they could bug you, hotel on a hill so bit of a grind getting back to it, room on the front so traffic noise,Torquay more for adults not kids [but Paignton up the road is great]. Car park very tight.

This comfortable, family-run hotel enjoys a superb and envied position central to Torquay's tourist attractions. The fascinating hive of activity that is Torquay's harbour, with its restaurants, theatres and pubs, are all just a short walk away.
In a matter of minutes, you can be relaxing on the lovely wide beach of Abbey Sands or, just as easily, enjoying the bargain shopping available in this lovely seaside resort. In fact, there's no reason to use your car again until its time to go home!
For your relaxation, the hotel offers a comfortable TV lounge, an intimate residents bar and a sun lounge with adjoining patio for those lazy days.

Because of possible disturbances to other guests, the property is unable to accept reservations for work parties/groups of individuals who work at night.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of Abbey Sands Beach, the English Riviera Conference & Leisure Centre, the Princess Theatre, the Marina and the extensive shopping facilities of Fleet Walk.
The local bus service is very good and passes right by the hotel. With Torquay Rail Station only a short walk away, you can easily visit the surrounding towns by rail - it is inexpensive and a good alternative to buses.

By Car:
From Exeter or the M5:
- Follow directions to the seafront, taking either the Avenue or Belgrave roads.
- On reaching the seafront, turn left at the traffic lights.
- Staying in the left-hand lane, proceed straight up Shedden Hill to the intersection with Abbey Road.
- Lindum Hotel is straight ahead, but do enter the driveway slowly as it is steeply ramped.
