This was my 60th birthday celebration and 27 family and friends attended the carvery in the the atrium restaurant.from the beginning we were courtesly received by Arec who went through the procedures and costs.he also offered another room for coffee after the main meal. All my guests were impressed by the quality of the food and the service provided by your attentive staff. We were there to hold a black tie celebration party for my son's 21st. Everything was superb. The venue room was ideal and freshly decorated. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and professional. Cathy and her team at the function couldn't have done enough. The whole evening went perfectly. Thank you.
all reviews » We liked the fact that the staff were extremely helpful and that the golf staff made it a lot easier for us, especially as it was our first visit to the Belfry. Breakfast was very nice and the Hotel was to a very high standard. I liked the look of the hotel and its surroundings. The staff were very friendly the room was very spacious and clean. The resturant was large and very nice food. Would like to stay at the belfry again. the belfry is a very nice hotel and quite and the reception staff is nice and friendly and very informative and we will stay there again very soon and upgrade. Very helpful and friendly staff in all parts of the hotel. Great range of spa treatments. Very spacious room. Fantastic weather!!. The facilities were very good with options available. The signposting to / from the rooms was top class and essential. The exec room was absolutely fantastic, the spa & Gym are very good & the room service was very prompt. The location. location. we booked A superior room to stay the night and was A little dissapointed by the noise of people leaving sams bar at 2 am, however this was A minor problem and A matter you have little control over,. Only little complaint I have is that the mattress on the bed was so soft it was so uncomfortable so we hardly slept. That the website stated that the French restaurant was closed on Valentines night, but when we arrived at the hotel it was open but we were unable to make a reservation. On Friday evening the hotel ordered us a taxi and we had to wait over half an hour for it to collect us. Would have liked the opportunity to walk around the site away from car parks and golf courses. The hot breakfast 'items' were cool / warm. I've never felt so disoriented in going to a room in a hotel. Wifi @ £15 per day is very steep these days! Some of the decor needs a refurb in parts of the hotel. I see this place as a functional business venue & not somewhere I'd go for a leisure stay. Can't fault any aspect of the stay. For a four star hotel we thought the Menu was very restricted and the standard of the food was very poor with a four star rated Hotel waiter service would have been expected I was hpping to make a booking for a larger group for a longer stay but I have now resavations in booking now as the party include people from abroard I am sorry I have to write this report. Nightclub really outdated and needs total refurbishment. Things were generally extremely expensive. £4.50 for a pint does not represent good value for money. I was very unhappy to discover that Internet access was not included in the cost of the room. the weather . Nothing. No clear directions and could not find staff when in need of help. Took a day to get used to it but loved the stay after. Noisy at night, room was above kitchen, I thought the team from diy sos were filming an episode. Choice in restaurant. Rooms could do with a little updating. undergoing an uplift at the moment, so was not as good as last time I stayed. The prices in the bar are very expensive ie £4.30 for a bottle of beer Scandalous. Food was awful. Hotel very big difficult to find room. not having time to play golf maybe next time. nothing. The bathrooms in the rooms need deep cleaning and more attention paid to fittings ie: taps were very grimey..the prices for food and beverages are way too expensive for the venue and the Belfry bar/tent was freezing especially at night it seems like the staff turn up the air conditioning to get you out of the bar and back to your rooms!!!. Having received bites on my body from "bed bugs" in the past whilst abroad, I found that unfortunately I had similar bites on my right leg which started to irritate and inflame during the day and I noticed them when I undressed that evening to have a shower. They are still with me some 3/4 days later. Room No. 509. the rooms we stayed in were a little dark,not much sun light. Hotel was very cold in communal areas. Overly expensive menus. Poor food selection at evening meal. Rooms were tired!. wifi should be free. Room next to lift shaft, noisy all night, very little sleep, room in need of renovation Reception claimed they had not received my booking from letsbookhotel.com Expensive price of drinks Driving range closed. Facilities are now quite run down. Sad really. Unfortunately due to renovation taking place, it obviously wasn't the best time to visit the hotel. Long wait for meals, breakfast cold and temporary bar in marquee, which ran out of certain drinks etc. Small room after I paid extra for a superior room. Restaurant was poor, lack of selection. Over priced drinks. Atrium Restaurant cold food and not very well run. Carvery/buffet breakfast items missing or cold. price of the tea and coffee alcohol also a little dear the fact that you took the money for booking at the time of booking rather than on the day other places all seem to take you money when you leave not months in advance. Small room, outdated decor, old television with bad picture and only the five basic channels, bathroom tiny. Attitude of staff on arrival. Very basic provision in room. Room decor very tired. Charge for internet connection. Dated room not worth the price. Very blokey atmosphere. No decent restaurant - only a Sports Bar. Food was ok but ambience awful. We arrived late. Due to m42 being closed that gave us the car very as are only food option at 9.45 to be served a mediocre carvery on a 9 inch child size plate and charge £19 per head was for a main course was obscene really a plate of that size while I understand that people do pile on its a 4 star hotel and to eat of a plate of that size maid me feel as if we were in a back street pub on a Sunday with a£4.99 Carvery. Appalling catering. Supercilious desk staff. The early check out for 11am is very uncommon~ squeezing that hour is very disappointing, I asked for a later time and was told I would be charged if went over 12. Reception did check with supervisor who said no! I was in business meeting all day spending money & my niece hat to vacate room. The black mold on soap holders was lovely! Very outdated now. Rooms need upgrading Carvery average. Lack of staff in Sam's Bar Music being heard in room at 2am in the morning. Bathroom light was flickering during the stay. Spa was expensive but would have been fine except it was, in the words of the staff at the time, 'a bit like butlins'. Relaxation impossible due to other guests behaving like they were on a stag or hen, with no guidance from staff to modify their behaviour, hence no relaxation. The french restaurant is also closed for several weeks but there was no mention of this so when trying to book the alternative restaurant to find it was closed we had to make do with room service and snacks. room was small, television was rubbish (old, no freeview, bad picture), bathroom was tiny, lock on door did not work, everything needs updating. The hotel was run down... had to climb 2 flights of stairs to reach my room which was tiny and extremely hot. The journey to the room wasawful through a back stair case which was run down. I flet like a tradesman!! The staff at reception could not find my meeting room booking and made me wait 10 minutes until it was found also the company name on the meeting room door was incorrect. the place was being renovated and no one told me of this when I booked otherwise I would not have stayed there. bar facilities rubbish, breakfast facilities rubbish.
