Minimum hassle. Nice quiet, off road location and a lot of space for parking. and not too for from Worcester. Everybody was so friendly and helpful and it seemed that nothing was too much trouble.The staff couldn't have been more potite and helpful! We were staying for a party held at the hotel on the evening it was lovely to beable to use the facilities then go and get ready in the room walk down the stairs and be there no taxis, no coats , no stress. we had a great breakfast and really enjoyed the stay even talking about coming back soon. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed a nice bar meal before going out for the evening. The bedroom was light and modern.The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a decent size and very comfortable. If we had eaten breakfast lunch and dinner at the hotel, this cost could have been £60+ per day per person. which over the three days for the 2 people including the cost of room would have been £540. just that the shower did not fonction properly. No everything was great. not a major issue - however bathroom beginning to look tired. Only complaint, but not really that big an issue, was the bathroom was slightly on the small side.The food was a bit expensive for what you receive but it was top quality and well prepared. The rather tired look of the bar and lounge area (e.g. beige/brown carpets and dark wood - yuk!). bedroom was a little cold on arrival. poor mobile reception and no free wireless internet are disappointments. The beds were very uncomfortable. No heating in room - radiator did not work and it was like walking into a fridge. Staff tried to assist without success but compensated for inconvenience, for which we appreciate, but someone has got to look at your heating systems. Hard pillows. breakfast was only average- with table not set out properly. Undergoing building work, food was very average, no room service menu in my room and I couldn't get an invoice because the printer was broken. the bar service was pricey. I would not have been pleased to have paid the full price. I did not feel that there was anything particularly special about it to warrant it being 4*. would have prefered to have a menu choice in the dining room rather than a set 3 course meal. Bar prices expensive. Fresh fruit salad on breakfast menu was not available. no sheltered smoking area or availability of smoking rooms. No remote control in the room. Heating system was noisy. Needs Sky TV somewhere in the hotel, even in a bar i not the rooms.restaurent menu was poor and expensive. the room was very cold, even when i put the radiator on. Meals were over-priced. Too greater mark-up on wines. Evening meal in particular was of indifferent quality and very expensive. In view of the very low number of people taking dinner I consider two and three quarter hours an inordinately long time to complete service. This may have been forgiven if the main course food was at best mediocre. The bed was uncomfortable and the radiator in the room was noisey. Two room changes - room 1, - not ready, room2 - tv didnot work. Bar closed due to refurb. Dinner expensive for what it was. Wines expensive. The gardens from the bar and function room were untidy. The old pool area (now a patio) could have been better presented with flower pots etc.Poor breakfast service; lack of guidance to room at checking in; no support to customers after Fire Alarm in middle of night. Everything at this hotel was very average, from the room to the food.The atmosphere in the dining room was like a library. The restaurant and bar prices are exorbitant! £6 for a small glass of wine, £3 for cup of filter coffee. Suggest you use the pub a short walk down the hill from the hotel. The design of the hotel leaves several rooms, including ours near thefront door and liable to late noise from smokers at the front door,drinkers returning late and early morning deliveries; we were wakened byadriver who left his engine running, 10 feet from our room at 6.00 am.
