They got everything right - room not the biggest, but comfortable and with a large bathroom; good modern but unfussy menu, well presented in the restaurant (and quite busy for a Monday with locals); excellent breakfast in the morning. Relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean modern contemporary bedroom. The standard of the breakfast was also very good. All in all an excellent boutique hotel.

No it met our requirements and expectations perfectly . Bed could be more comfortable.The only thing that was not so good was breakfast but perhaps this was because we had it taken up to the room. The tea and toast were cold and butter hard. They had put the cream in my porridge so I couldnt eat it but in all fairness I should have possibly asked for milk instead. But this would certainly not stop us going back again it was a really nice hotel. no fridge in room.City-centre location means ambient noise from road and early-morning binlorry activity. No except the noise at night.Bed was too stiff. Service at breakfast could have been better. Hard bed. It is in need of an upgrade but the new owners told me they are planning this in the near future. Room and corridors smelt of shake n vac or something similar. Traffic was a little noisy first thing in the morning. I did not realise the hotel was based in the middle of a roundabout !!. The bed was not very comfy. Noise from other guests.
