Great location, beer and food. Loved the traditional pub and local village setting, fantastic food (evening meal was steak and full English breakfast next morning), really comfortable motel-style room, friendly staff, couldn't fault it!. relaxing country feel- excellent beer garden at the back. chickens and ducks to watch. Excellent foood and friendly staff. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The food was very good and we will go in for a meal again when next in the area. We were very pleasantly surprised with the large size of the room. A lovely large garden and patio area which must be lovely in the summer.all reviews »
The Food was excellent and they were happy to cook off menu. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A pleasent place to stay! No obvious reception desk, at the end of a long day i didn't want to have to try two different entrances to find it (i had to ask in the end), however the staff were really helpfull and friendly and everything was good from then on.Bit noisy from the road. Tatty fittings in room - broken fridge - shower head bodged with a zip-tie.The thermostat water system was faulty for the showers - either boiling water or freezing water. Positioning of TV in room..next to the bed so to watch One had to stand at the end of the bed. broken furniture, shortage of towels. the bed was very uncomfortable. Situation on a very busy (24hours) main road was not advised in the description of the hotel - consequently we were kept awake most of the night!!!.
