staff friendlyand welcoming, service excellent. Very happy with our stay - this was the third time and we would certainly stay again. Very clean, good value for money, excellent food both for the evening meal and breakfast the following morning. The Value for money, combined with the quality and cleanliness of our room, made for a delightful short stay!. The hotel was in a great location easy to find i liked every thing about the hotel would love to stay again.

The bedrooms were a good size with tea/making and the ensuite showers were cleverly designed such that the shower room door also doubled as the toilet door to give a good space saving design.Staff were excellent, knowledgeable and helpful. Car parking facilities were good and hotel was easy to find. Free parking and nice food all be it slightly pricey for an evening meal.Its new with a large free car park. Easy access, good parking.The room was clean and the power shower was fantastic! The bed didgive both my husband and I slight backache but I suppose there's nobed like your own. The matrasses, especially of the pull-out sofa, were a bit hard. When staying more than one night, I might have preferred closed storage in the room - wardrobe and drawers. Hanging space and shelves are all open plan.Possibly a little lifeless in the lounge/bar/dining area. Quite possiblydue to the high price of food and drink. having an early start (05:15), was a little unhappy at eating breakfast in darkness, as could find no staff to turn the lights on, had to wait 10 mins for checkout (needed reciept). Having to order meals from the bar. A cooked breakfast on the menu would have been nice!. We chose a hot summer night and should have brought our travelling fan. The bedroom got quite hot and humid during in the night and I had difficulty sleeping. The plumbing in the bathroom gave off an awful smell and the Holiday inn we stayed in in York included a kids eat free option for an evening meal and cooked as well as cold breakfast for the same money. Lack of air conditioning in the room and noise from road when window open. Matresses were a bit cheap and lumpy. There are lots of additional charges. Similar to a Travel Lodge.No mobile phone signal in my room. Very disappointed with very cold room on arrival.......had to sit in coats for first hour waiting for room to warm up sufficiently.all fine except for saga at checkout -10 minutes to try and fail to print bill-printer not working/no ink/how does it work!. The steak burger wasn't good at all and the food prices expensive. Thehotel should re-think on their food and drink prices to encourage gueststo dine at the hotel. The included breakfast was good. Pity no eggs andbacon though ;o(. Rooms were not well ventilated and were rather warm. No exhaust in the bathroom. Hanging space was limited. Location or directions, it was very hard to find. Internet facility didn't work in room.Feel that prices are a little high for after all just basic facilities. However most of these style of hotels are the same now. food. The mattress was too hard. the bed. It felt like a water bed!.

From m3 take m27 east towards portsmouth, then as follows : FROM WEST : Southampton/ Bournemouth. Turn off at Junction M27, Jct7 - filter left onto Charles Watts Way (Sainsbury superstore on left) and follow brown signs to the Rose Bowl. At first roundabout turn left into Tollbar Way. (B3342) Go straight across two roundabouts (McDonalds on right). At third roundabout, turn left into Botley Road (B3035). Cross over motorway and turn left at first traffic lights into Rose Bowl. The hotel sits at the intersection with Botley Road and Marshall Drive. FROM EAST: Portsmouth/Fareham. Take Junction 7 on M27. Cross over the motorway, follow the roundabout into Charles Watts Way (A334) - from here follow directions as for West. (i.e follow brown signs for Rose Bowl).
