The B&B is situated near the beautiful Brecon Beacons NP and is easy to find. Room was brilliant, with a gorgeous four poster bed situated as a centerpiece in the room! Bathroom is like the room: clean, spacious and extremely well equiped. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, had some great homecooked food and we were told we could use the spacious living room and kitcher as well. Wonderful stay, beautiful place and friendly, hard working, loving people running this B&B. We had a gr.
all reviews » Castlelodge was the best B&B experience was ever had. We stayed there with our 2 young children who loved the freedom to play outside. The owners were so friendly and welcoming we felt like we came to visit friends, not just staying at B&B. Lovely bedroom, amazing living room with a 3D TV, pool table, very comfy bed, rooms and the whole B&B equipped in everything you would need. Highly recommended. Amazing location close to all of Beacons, lovely sites from castles to mountains, rivers and lakes and waterfalls, beaches and cities half hour away. Friendly B&B with lots of little extras from 3D TV in comfortable sitting room to earl gray tea and lovely home cooked food, also near to some good pubs. Had an amazing stay would go back and recommend it to all my friends. Very helpful, friendly, welcoming owners. Plenty of space (guests' areas in addition to room) and thoughtfully equipped accommodation. Castle Lodge was very placed for Brecon Beacons and the huge range of outdoor activities- we did the 'waterfalls walk' from the fairly remote village of Ystradfellte, also enjoyed the beautiful, scenic drive to Ystradfellte from Castle Lodge. The couple who ran the B&B were so helpful with information about the local area and provided maps and books and knowledge on things to see and do.The breakfast was lovely and the room was well equipped and clean and had everything we needed and more.Thouroughly enjoyed our stay and ended up staying an extra night.Would recommend Caslelodge to anyone. The owners have everything that you would need all at hand. You are left with nothing wanted in the room. Such a lovely friendly family and nothing is too much trouble for their customers. The accommodation was excellent in that the owners had catered for every eventuality. We felt very relaxed and at home. friendly couple who run it have thought of everything you could need and are always available to help with advice on the areas attractions and best routes to take.It is more like your own small private luxury get away than a B&B. The owner is very friendly and cooks very good breakfast- best toast I have ever had. Rooms are clean, spacious and quiet, despite being close to the road. Location is good, next to a small hill overlooking the village. It is absolutely fantastic, romantic and intimate. The owners couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable. The room was a bit overwhelming at first sight, but it was very comfortable, with a big four poster bed, giant wall-mounted tv and large, well-stocked bathroom. The skylights would normally be okay but we couldn't open them either as it never stopped raining whilst we were there. absolutely nothing. Our room doesn't have a bath so make sure you book the right room if its important to you. nothing. The window was frosted and fixed shut so you couldn't see what the weather was doing until you got outside. Loud ticking clock took a bit of getting used to. I would have liked proper coffee with breakfast rather than instant. not a damn thing. Nothing. there was nothing i didnt like!!. nothing. Nothing. Nothing couldn't fault it. Nothing to dislike about the place. nothing. The decor was far too fussy for my taste. The evening meal although cheap was obviously straight from the freezer and definite not home made! We actually found the attempts by the hostess to be friendly bordered on to the over familiar.
