very clean and good unfussy decoration. My room was on the inside courtyard and very quiet. Easy walk from city centre. Good breakfast. Worth noting that the community that runs the place runs homes for homeless and other charitable works, in Salisbury and elsewhere. If you look for a small guesthouse with a quiet profile within Salisbury and with the most friendly staff, this is the place. You will have to live with sharing a bathroom, which again corresponds with the budget-friendly room rate. Recommended!.
all reviews » The staff were friendly and knew me by name. The bed was extremely comfortable, the facilities were clean and good and the whole place was tranquil and lovely. Overall a really fantastic experience. A peaceful place to be in, spacious, clean. If you want to relax yourself after a long day of city tour or working, this is a very good option. Staff very warm, good breakfast, comfortables room. Very peaceful atmosphere, it definitely lacked the bustle you can get at other B&Bs. I would definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to rest and recover from the stress of life. The breakfast was fantastic, and made the overall day better. The complimentary tea-making facilities were a pleasant addition. The room was clean, quiet and well situated. Large lounge for guest use with full Sky TV package. Breakfast was good and self service toast making it a first with us but it means you can have what you like. The room was really good, clean and well decorated. Thew staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was also good and the location couldn't be better. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very good. Some people can get confuse about how "christian" or "catholic the hotel staff could be. To be honest it was super relax and just basic rules. There was not really anything to complain about. Getting in with out the gate code could have been a problem if a staff member had not turned up when I arrived. I didn't like having to ask if there was wifi and then having to pay £3 for something that should be part of the overall service. I stayed at a lower budget b & b two weeks ago and I got wifi automatically there?. nothing. Traffic noise when the windows were open. N/A. Bit hard to find. Their was nothing to not like. The residents parking permit zone on all the surrounding streets. Poor reception on the TV and wifi. i dont remember.....it seems all was fine. Was pleased to let the SatNav find it. No restaurants in vicinity. Staff a bit straight laced. gate entry is a bit narrow if you arrive by car. There wasn't any outside window in our bedroom, the only outside window was in the bathroom, which made me feel claustrophobic. Also, you at breakfast, you had to share a table with other people. there came hardly any water out of the shower!!! Those things I don't like!!!. The windows of the double room we stayed looked straight into the conservatory/dining room so blinds had to be permanently closed, making the room seem dismal. The room went from cold to hot at unpredictable times. The breakfast was very ordinary with no fresh fruit and just some tinned grapefruit which was very sour It was very basic for the price as I have stayed in quite a few B & B's in the past and expected more. Being bitten eight times by insect in the night (do not know yet what bit me) Shared bathroom/toilet Lumpy old matresses Paying for using a debit card to pay the bill.
