Close to town good location good staff rooms comfortable. Helpful staff when checking in. staff cleanliness breakfast. Good value, friendly staff. Friendly evening manager. very central hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful Food was good and waiter was efficient and pleasantly chatty. Our room was clean and, given the age of the building, in good decorative order. The Hotel has great character and lots of charm Location was central for visiting this lovely historic town.

Town centre location,friendly staff. Clean bedding. The food. location. The locality as our son is based at the local Army barracks and we live in the South so was a family weekend visit. the location . I payed £72 for the night after paying and leaving there was a sign saying all rooms £62. Good location and close to Duxford. Some nice eating places nearby. Lovely small town atmosphere, friendly owners. All pretty much as expected. Car parking. I think the hotel is a little tired and whilst it is a very old hotel, I think it needs a makeover. However my stay was comfortable and I would stay again. room cool asked for extra heater, not forthcoming. Evening dinner returned over seasoned. for the price, nothing!. Our 2nd floor room was on the main street side of the building and there was a lot of noise from traffic during the early hours. ven though it's a Grade 2 listed building, perhaps some better sould insulation could be installed. Our son was in the room next door but beds were sited differently and he had no problem sleeping. parking very poor, showers need attention went from cold to scolding when you were in them. locking on door very old fashioned hard to actual lock the door to the room. Down at heel appearance of room, very grumpy waitress at breakfast. Very limited parking. Noise until 2.30am from other guests Beams in the the room, very awkward for walking around. Velux unable to close hence loud traffic noise Shower came away from the wall unable to get hot water except from the sink. The parking!!!. little parking,room at top of building access by narrow stairs room cold. the food is very poor would of be better to eat out in the town . The beds are very hard. Too many stairs and not enough parking. Overpriced and breakfast was extra!. They advertised wi-fi, but there was so signal in rooms in the upper floor. But most rooms were on the upper floor... They knew it and did nothing to help or change this. The sign in the bathroom informing us we would be liable for any breakages, the broken hook on the bathroom door, the non working telephone, the extra towels hidden in the wardrobe and the lack of BBC channels on the T.V.! (It's the only hotel in town basically!!).
