The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful which helped to make a most enjoyable stay. The rooms were tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean, and I can highly recommend eating on the premises. The staff were excellent and the food superb. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel is quiet and comfortable.friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, excellent food and lots of choice. Friendliness of staff. Close to the centre of Newcastle yet set in a quiet area close to the A1. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Service and food. The only down side for us was the location, we had to taxi into Newcastle, but that was no fault at all of the hotel. It was a last minute rush to get a hotel as we had been let down on other options. Would have liked room/bed to be a bit larger. Cleanliness of the rooms. The room was cold which is obviously a known problem as there is a fan heater in the room (unfortunately fan heaters are noisey). The bathroom had no heating which made using it very uncomfortable. Size of en-suite was ridiculous.
