This large Victorian country house is situated in the village of Faygate, in West Sussex, and has 18 acres of grounds. Transfers can be arranged from Gatwick Airport, which is a 15-minute drive away.
Faygate Place is situated on the top of a hill with long uninterrupted views of the South Downs. It dates back to 1850, and retains many original features, including high ceilings and original fireplaces. There is free Wi-Fi throughout.
Rooms are spacious and elegant in style, and each benefits from a flat-screen TV and a work desk. All rooms also have picturesque views for guests to enjoy.
The land around the house features a tennis court, formal gardens, forest and an orchard. Ifield Golf and Country Club is less than 10 minutes’ drive away.

lovely and spacious house and garden, very nice owners with great tips for walks and sites from the owner, breakfast with figs and plums from the own garden, big room, good mixture of privacy and "family access", we felt very much at home.
We were made to feel very welcome. The room was spacious and clean and looked out onto lovely views of the surrounding countryside. It feels as though you are in the middle of the countryside yet you are close to the major roads.
10 out of 10. Beautiful house, great location, wonderful hosts. Our stay in Horsham was all the better for staying at Faygate Place. Probably the best homemade banana bread ever. Would highly recommend.

Lack of hanging space / storage space in the room There was no tea in the bedrooms and no teaspoons for a cup of tea - but we were only there for one night and we did arrive late.
the host presumed we would nt want a cooked breakfast, so i had to ask, which was a little embarassing.

Difficult to find the B&B in a country lane. Satnav with post code will take you to a mid point in the lane. Check for precise directions before hand with the owners.
Our room was not en suite!.

We were told hot water took time to come through, no matter how long we ran the water, it never got warm. Had to shower else where. No locks on bedroom doors. No cups in room for coffee or tea. dusbin was not emptied.
