This was our first stay in a Premier Inn. We had heard good reports and we were not disappointed. The staff were excellent and very welcoming.The rooms were very comfortable and we all had a good nights sleep. It was only a one night stay but Premier Inn Runcorn made a very good impression . We have stayed at premier inns a lot over the years and are always impressed, that's why we keep coming back. The one in Runcorn is so very convenient for visiting all our relatives in the area and we will be returning.
all reviews » The staff were really friendly in the hotel and the restaurant. Our room was lovely and clean. It was really close to chester zoo and cheshire oaks, so with having my 8month son we didnt have far to go. We only stayed for 1 night. The staff on arrival were very helpful. Good size car park. Breakfast service was excellent. Food was very good. Usual high quality Premier Inn. Very good product at reasonable price. The children particularly liked the large flat-screen Samsung TV. Staff are well trained and helpful. Rooms are spotless and well furnished. Next to pub/restaurant with good food at reasonably prices. Good price, near to the company place where I was going. Large TV. My GPS could not locate this hotel; it was very hard to find. While it is called Premier Inn Runcorn, this is something of a misnomer as it is actually situated in the nearby village of Preston Brook. The cost of the breakfast is high related to the quality. The "all you can eat" tag is not helpful as this suggests that you may want to stuff yourself until you burst. Most normal folks want a modest breakfast for a more modest price than £8.25, say £5 maximim. Too near to highway, if your room window is to that direction you better close it well. Fire alarm wrongly 3 TIMES in 2 days..... Wi-fi slow and kept dropping out. Water pressure low and shower very weak. The room was ok but the noise from the motorway was unsettling. I did request a room near the car park on ground floor - got ground floor 1out of 2. The breakfast staff on the Sunday a little more grumpy. Breakfast was very poor quality. If you can then I recommend you avoid having breakfast as its a waste of money. Service during dinner in the ajoining pub was extremely poor. Window was about 5 meters from the m56 so could hear traffic. Not too much of a prob tho. The food in the adjacent 'Table Table' resturant was well below standard; perhaps being Sunday evening the normal chef may have had a night off - whatever the reason we will not eat there again and it would mean that we won't stay at this particular Premier Inn again. I should just add that the breakfast was ok so if you stay at this Premier Inn go elsewhere for your evening meal. Just the fact that the room is for 2 An the coffee and tea facilities equals:- 2 coffee 2 tea-bags 4 milk etc 1 night stay and yes you can ask and get more But maybe be a little bit more generous in the first place Only a tiny gripe Sorry. Pricing/booking issues and receptionist friendly, but slow and unclear on how to deal. Room was only made up for one guest when it had been booked for three. Tea, coffee and milk had not been replenished. Room was too hot, 23.5* even with a fan on all night. The bathroom was filthy with some sort of hair and bodily fluid around bad of toilet for all of the 3 days of our stay. Things on floor were left there by cleaning staff.
