The rooms were a nice size and clean if a little stuffy as we didn't use air con as we both have asthma but the breakfast was great the staff very helpful it was in a convenient spot to our family who we went to visit we had s lovely comfortable bed and pillows overall I would give u 8 out 10 . We were visiting relatives in Sheffield as we were born in Rotherham, so we were very pleased from beginning to end of our stay! The girl on the desk was so helpful! The room was great and so was the continental breakfast! We liked how spacious the hotel was! The best we've stayed in!.
all reviews » hotel is near our family when we come and see them. near to everything we want plus aldi superstore was just across the road. cook sunday breakfast was good because it was in the price and it was a hot breakfast. always good hotel to stay. staff friendly and helpfull. The staff were always very friendly and most helpful at all times. The room was very clean and well maintained with the daily clean etc it made it very comfortable. The location was ideal for our purposes. Breakfast was exceptionally good. The hotel is bright, clean and fresh. Open bar and restaurant area is relaxing and of a good quality. The rooms are very clean and whilst basic they are very comfortable and excellent value for money. The main reception staff the bar staff were very friendly it made us feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable. We had a peaceful nights sleep. And the breakfast was value for money. Clean, comfortable, quiet, very good food, staff very pleasant and welcoming. First time staying in Holiday Inn - very impressed. Highly recommended and will use again. The drians in the new room were clearly not kept fresh and there was a strong drain smell as you entered the room. Ours was on the top floor and perhaps the hotel does not run at full capacity or something. However, when entering the room any staff member would detect the ordour. Breakfast at a peak time is a BUN FIGHT! Not enough tables, not enough staff and oh boy very stressful!!!!!. We couldn't get some channels on the TV. nothing. Nothing. nothing. Nothing. You can't beat this place for value for money. Too modern to really have atmosphere; hotel is not really near anywhere. Not e ought tea bags No biscuits No opening window. the location it was a nice walk into wath upon dearne centre and a taxi back weather pending.we found the pub at the side of it expensive with food and drinks.would have liked a bath it was nice walk in shower though but i prefer a bath. Nothing. What we paid was great value for money. Nothing to dislike. The road noise was excessive even on a Saturday night stay. I endured disturbed sleep, I think this will worsen because of the residential developments taking place all around, the vehicle movements will increase and consequently the road noise. Not enough bright lights in bedroom, for putting makeup on. It is a bit out of the way so you must drive or get a taxi to get about. Nothing. Not able to open window which would not be a problem but air conditioning not very efficient. Not much. Table for breakfast could be laid a little more "friendly" and in smaller groups. No comments to make. The price compared to some similar hotels, was expensive. I found my 3G mobile connection worked better than the free wifi. Didn't have a fridge. they didn't make shore the tea and coffee in the was stock up in the room and we had to ask for it. There was a wedding reception on and our room was directly above the bar area. Music was extremely loud until 12.30am so if anybody wanted sleep before then you had no chance. Nothing. Shower leaked out onto bedroom carpet, not a very homely bathroom, quite a lot of noise from corridor, no menus available in rooms for restaurant so ate elsewhere. Breakfast eggs were not very nice and one of the cheese packs was mouldy. Not being able to open the window in the room. Nothing to conplain about!. breakfast, but for thje price good value.
