On checkin...staff were very friendly , helpful and professional without being too stuffy...they knew the area well with local information to hand...and even though the hotel was near the road...once the windows were closed...you couldn't hear a thing!...comfy bed and very clean...very impressed. ..am looking forward to my next visit!!!. We enjoyed the area where the Premier Inn was situated, far away from the madding crowd comes to mind. When we left on the Saturday Morning despite the rain it was lovely walking through the woodland on our way to the Steam railway event. The whole stay was very attractice and very relaxing. all reviews » The rooms were excellent, very clean and spacious and the staff were kind, friendly and very helpful. They managed to get our 3 rooms ready for us before the official check-in time, so we could all change into our wedding clothes. The staff could not have been more helpfull. We could not get a room in Derby for the nights we needed, but we were very happy staying at Premier Ripley. Canadian visitors surprising family in Derby. The member of staff on the desk was very friendly and helpfull and always greeted us with a smile. rooms are very clean and tidy the breakfast was very good value for money and the meals very good. We have stayed at quite a few Premier Inn's over the years,but Ripley is our favourite, The staff are very friendly & helpful and the meals are excellent value. We will be back again soon !!. Location. Nothing!!. We went to the Restaurant next door and enjoyed our meal and relaxation but sorry to say it was interrupted by 2 children running up and down. The parents didn't seem to worry about correcting them. Even though the evening was quiet it could have been worse if other people were walking backwards and forwards accident could have happened. We were surprised that neither staff or management said anythin. Enough said. Nothing at all. No Ice machine. One small comment-- The hotel needs a direction sign at the entrance road end,as you can drive right past it if arriving for the first time !!. A minor irritation was the creaky floor. The Inn was out of the way but once we got our bearings was OK. We found the lack of prominent signage for this and the Woking Premier Inn was a problem. But then it could have just been that we were from overseas. Nothing!. Noisy trouble in the car park in the very early hours which woke us up, but this can happen anywhere. The bar closed a bit early, when we got back to hotel after the competition I could not have a drink, would have liked one as I was doing all the driving, maybe something in the room on pre-request. Low quantities of coffee/tea in room. Nothing. For me I find the catering offered for meals very poor, as it is mainly pre-packed microwave cooking. I look for meals freshly cooked to order with a choice of fresh vegetables. Only one set of towels but readily rectified. Room was comfortable although rather hot at night. TV was a little small. Internet connection was a bit unreliable. nothing. No complaints. The somewhat small TV screen, and we couldn't have the window open because of the traffic noise. we seemed to well down the corridor so had to use daughters wheel chair,she can walk but short distances so had to get everything out to get w/chair out of the car, aircon noisy so partner never got any sleep, free wifi???, haha, only got asked if I wanted to pay, then saw I should of had 30 mins free, I did ask and said I only wanted to check emails, should be better!!!. There were no drawers in the room, we had to keep delving into the suitcase for things. Matteress was a bit too hard for our liking and the evening meal at brewers farye was the same as the brewers fayre restaraunt back home disgusting but the stay in the hotel overal was great. Nothing. The room was very warm as the air con didn't seem to cool very effectively. n/a. Small room meant that warning notices were needed to stop you banging your head. bed a bit hard. bedroom lighting. too white and inhospitable !. When I turned up to check in only myself was booked and no my children dispite. Booking for 2 Adult and 2 children. Noise of traffic No hair conditioner provided Difficult to regulate room temperature. Drip from bathroom ceiling kept us awake most of night and floor was soaking next morning. Nothing.
