  The room and the house are very smart in a traditional style. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room lacked nothing. The staff are charming and the service is nearly faultless. Dinner was a delight with (very) local produce. Just wish that our vegetable garden looked like the one here! - This place is unique and wonderful.   I checked in early evening and was greeted well by the Managers, then taken straight to my room. They made a real effort to accommodate me and always with a smile. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them. My Executive room was very clean, tidy and quite large for what I had expected. I had evening Dinner at the restaurant which was very good val... what people say » ue for money but the food was delicious - their chef was very good indeed. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty on both days. I enjoyed my stay there. - The staff were very attentive and made us feel very welcome - even though they were very busy with the restaurant and bar area.The evening meal we had on the Friday evening was excellent. We will be booking the Millgate House Hotel again for our visit to Newark next year for the Vintage Tractor Show.
