Didn't eat here so cannotcomment about food but menu and bar looked good. - Staff were welcoming, helpful and the food was fantastic and above all the bed was really comfortable. The first sight of the hotel was delightful with a vast array of pretty flowers and lavender everywhere . Wonderful pillows comfy bed with quilt , excellent tea/coffee facilities, bathroom lovely with all necessary toiletries provided. The choice of breakfast was excellent. We used the pool and surrounding patio area and found the whole experience very relaxing after a days shopping in Cardiff.

Tintern Abbey is a great place to visit, is quiet and peaceful.
There are excellent walk in the area that cater for every grade of walker.

Our room (no.2) on the top floor had a lovely river and hillside view. Bed linen, room and en-suite were all spotlessly clean. The room was very well appointed including plenty of wardrobe space. Although we did not use it the honesty bar in the large residents lounge is a nice touch and looked well stocked. A good choice of homemade food for an evening meal was available, but due to a late lunch we did not have the opportunity to indulge. Opposite there is also a nice pub if you fancy a drink
