The breakfast was good and filling. The staff was really nice and triedtheir hardest to make sure you were comfortable. The bed was extremelycomfortable. The hotel is located right down the road from the Ilfordtrain station (National Rail), so not too difficult to get to. Someroads do not have street name signs, but Argyle Road does, so do notwalk down a street with no street name sign. The hospitality provided by the owner and staff.all reviews »
Hotel staff. This is my right hotel in London! Hotel and room are cleaned, with no problems and a real great value for money! The last but not the laest, the best english breakfast in town (and if you don't want an english breakfast, change Country).Welcoming atmosphere, excellent breakfast, lovely furniture, three minutes from the train station. very good value for money... very nice and helpful staff... good for short stay...
nice breakfast...
i was surprised with my stay... glad to be there again...The owner was very polite and very helpful, also Tea and Coffee was available all day and night which I thought was great!. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to get my room ready as I arrived one and a half hours early. On my last day I wasn't sure how to catch the bus to the airport as it was a holiday and the trains didn't run early in the morning. They arranged for someone to take me to the next town so that I could catch my scheduled bus. Of course I paid them. English breakfast good.Personell was excellent! Cousy feeling, attitude like we are at home with friends! Breakfast-delicious!. staff is firendly;near to london one zone, about 15 mins to livepool street. The staff was very kind. Easy accessible from Stansed Airport. The staff were very helpful and always there when needed.nice breakfast, comfortable bed. Convenience of location about three hundred yards from the railroad station plus the proximity of shopping street and a good Weatherspoons pub make the choice of the hotel quite reasonable. I chose this hotel for trips in London second year running, and do not regret makin the choice. The staff was polite, and most of the rooms in the guest house are quiet and equiped with cosy beds. nice helpful staff, room basic but clean, and ecellent for the price. The friendliness of staff, good sized clean bed, good breakfast. For the price i paid, it was great.:). The home made breakfast.Friendliness. felt welcome, comfy, free wi-fi or the use of their desk top computor.Good Breakfast and nice and kind full personal!. It was quiet and the breakfast was nice. The hotel was pretty basic, but it was what I was expecting considering it had been fairly cheap. Good value for money, very close to Ilford station and a decent breakfast. Free wireless with good service. Close to Ilford shops, pubs and restauants. The bedding and towels were clean and the room was acceptable for the money. The ensuite room was nice. lots of space for clothing and a very pleasant room to stay in. the price. Good breakfast and nice staff. price.. that's all. Free internet and printer, good breakfast and good bed. The sink in my room. The breakfast! easy to get into london.Nothing specifically. value for money. Kind people. The location. I guess the breakfast was okay. . . Day staff helpful, evening staff awful.Parking. It was close to a train station. disgusting place. nothing. Watch out for the hole in the floor (covered up by the carpet) in thebreakfast room.very thin walls in hotel, sometimes was bit noisy. The hot water on the first night was not hot at all so Showering was unpleasent however the staff did every thing they could to fix it and the next day it was on. It was something that i felt could not be helped.Only that the toliets needed work. the television in the room did not work. The room could have been warmer, considering the weather being so cold. They could not accept American Express Blue credit card.nothing i didnt like just needs some tlc in certain parts of the hotel. Do not trust a man, who wants to drive you to the airport! He leaves you alone, when you need him and tell you lies. He is not one of the personal but a friend of them.We stayed in an en-suite room but there was no shower( there were only individual cold and hot taps). It was not easy to wash your body and hair. shared facilities were not very clean, I booked en-suit but the room only had a shower so had to use the toilet down the hall. Guests who did not have en-suite would use this bathroom and as most of them were builders it was pretty dirty most of the time. It was fine for a cheap over night stop however.the room wasn't as clean as it should have been. I found a cork from a wine bottle under a chair and lots of dust. cleanliness. Very dirty, our room was never cleaned during the three days we stayed there. The room was very dusty when we arrived. I cleaned myself. too far from city center, and in dangruse erea. Everything is quite old and the floor is uneven in some places, there are holes under the carpet. The bathrooms were a bit dirty and there wasn't water in the toilet sometimes. Breakfast time finished too early. The beds are squeeky, and the showers were a bit weak.No information about their services and hotel staff did not perform to standard. very dangerous area, noisy at night. In my room there was a noisy boiler, that was not possible to turn off. Our bathroom was very dirty, the full english breakfast was not nice and our greeting was very poor.It was probably the foulest room I have stayed in. Coming from a university student, that means it was pretty vile. There were cigarette ashes on the shelves, in the candy dish (despite a 'No Smoking') sign in the room; an unwrapped chocolate bar just sitting on the night table; and crumbs on the floor. It was dirty, rundown,no tea/coffee facilities in bedroom.Tea area filthy and lacking basics.Only one teaspoon for eg and no way of cleaning it.Worn carpets are a safety hazard.RAC and AA need to re-visit this hotel it is not even a 1* with it's poor standards.Did not have breakfast because everywhere was dirty and off-putting.how far away from london city it was. The Hotel was a completly discusting the rooms were filthy would not stay there if it was for free.
